Let the good times roll

I think I’ve got a fever

I’m thinking you’ve changed and

I could drown in my own tears

You don’t know what love is. Never did.

I could have told you so. Gee baby, aren’t

I good to you. I’ll go crazy without you.

You don’t know me at all. Do you?

The red top you wear can be seen  

At the dark end of the street.

You don’t seem to care.

The shadow of your smile upsets me,

Because you’re leaving me.

I’ve seen some miserable people

Who plan to marry, and God bless

The child they plan to raise.

I must confess, its raining in my life,

But I’ll look over the rainbow.

Life is bound to be better

On the other side.

I can’t wait to see.

LOVING ART

I love art and don’t know why.

Blame it on my youth. I would wake up

Io didn’t know what time it was. I had newspapers

To deliver. They were at Ron’s place in his garage

Had to get them at 5 A.M.

A blackbird would call to me. It was a lament for Linus

He had died in an accident. Everyone had loved him.

He helped anyone who needed it, Often singing mignon’s song

He was a good singer and talker. He once said “I fall in love too easily”

He loved everyone and put them first. Never thinking, nobody else but me

Always alert and never lucid.

Whin I finished my paper route  I walked by the empty shops

The bakery was open. Chocolate chip cookie time

Then the art gallery windows. Taking in all the wonder that

Was placed so artfully on canvas. Different people, different styles

That must be my answer on why I love art

It taught me to never copy, but be original at all costs

And always do my best in all my endeavors.

PROGRESS

For too long we have been under

The spell of the progress delusion,

Which is the misguided belief that

Change and progress are the same.

All change is not progress. Progress

Is improving the well-being of human

Beings and brings about human

Flourishing. Not everyone has this

In mind when they propose progress.

Some desire personal achievement,

Political power, and economic gain

Rather than bringing about the most

Good for the most people. Greater life

Expectancy, reduced infant mortality,

Expanding food supply, safe water and

Access to education and healthcare

Are examples of progress. But abuse of

Workers, exploitation of poorer nations,

The atrocities of war, genocide, and

Environmental extortion have taken place

Under the banner of progress. The left

Supports and strives for this type of progress

While the right is the champion of the former.

No matter what you have unwittingly supported

In the past, what do you wish to be for now.

We are now on the left road

And have a good idea where

It is going to take us. We have

A decision soon to make which

Will leave us on that road to

Socialism, which has never worked,

Or change direction and return

To the path that God would want

Us to take. The left wants to blame

The right for the present conditions

And tell lies in their advertising to

Give affirmation to them and the

Policies they never endorsed, but now

Are heralding. They are promising

Utopia but those pulling the strings

Are set on socialism and power and

Eventually total power. The citizens

Will be in misery. They swallowed the

Bait and will pay the price. It is time to

Think of which road, right or left, that

You wish to take. Right is right and left

Is wrong and disastrous. Go right and

Praise the Divine One for your decision.

Without cheating, lying and

Making false claims, the left

Does not have much to go on.

What have been their accomplishments?

They opened the border and

Shut down drilling for gas and oil.

Caused joblessness and blaming

The previous administration. Now

Saying they are going to fix the

Border and promising that you will

Only have to work one job to make

Ends meet. They have let criminals

Out of prison and these illegals have

Murdered and raped women all over

The country. They are antisemitic and

Allow demonstrations for the Palestinians

And in the process watch our sacred

Monuments being destroyed.

I pray that those who support these

Accomplishments will do some critical

Thinking and realize that socialism is about

Power and will take away all of your rights.

You will have then no options but to fall

In line or be persecuted.

We hear from people who’ve

Suffered an unimaginable tragedy.

Tornado and flood survivors tell

Of the devastation and how haunting

It can be. We are drawn to the fragility

Of the things we hold most dear—such

As our homes, families, and careers.

But in a world that often seems to be

Spinning out of control, believers in Jesus

Have the privilege of sharing the best

News imaginable: we have something

That is stable, something completely secure.

There is a rock on which we are able to stand,

And it cannot be shaken. An everlasting

Heavenly home awaits all those who place

Their faith in Jesus Christ. He gives us

Stability, even in this unstable world.

Milton Friedman illustrated

Politicians’ eagerness to recklessly

Spend other people’s money when he said:

“…if I spend somebody else’s

Money on somebody else,

I’m not concerned about

How much it is, and I’m

not concerned about what I get.

And that’s government.”

               Friedman’s words certainly

Describe the government we

Have in Lansing. Gov. Whitmer

Iis willing to waste billions of dollars

On Big Government programs because

She’s not spending her own money—

She’s spending money that belongs to

The tax payers of Michigan.
