Just down the road

Only a few miles

You will find the market

And people with lots of smiles

It isn’t huge but it’s homey

The vendors are all polite

Just being with these people

Is such a great delight

From stocking hats to poultry

And everything in between

Soaps, candles, and artwork

As nice as you have seen

Little children, bashful but polite

Painting rocks and selling them

Price depends on the size

Meat, harvested from their farms

Eggs and loads of pies

Breads of all descriptions

Like candy for the eye

The venders are happy to see you

They treat you like celebrity

When it is over you realize

They have met your every need

Just down the road

Only a few miles

Worth everyone

Just to see their smiles

It is a wonder that drifts six foot tall

have vanished and we see green grass

and brown ground and a haze of pink

on the horizon. Who do you think is

behind this phenomenon.

The Climate Change Groupies are spending

$50,000.00 per minute trying to convert

everyone to their belief. Besides making

millions of dollars on their propaganda

they are seeking a new world order where

they will be in total control. Many,

because they are inundated with

the propaganda from organizations

like Green Peace and others

who talk about Polar Bears eating

their young which is nothing new.

They have been known to do that

for as long as they have been studied.

The polar caps have more ice today

than whenever measuring took place.

A few years ago, some scientists in a ship

were frozen in a stretch of water

they were on trying to prove that

melting was taking place. Man cannot

start a hurricane or cause a snow drift.

They cannot stop the hurricane or melt

the drift. Those leading this charge are

interested in one thing and that is control.

They contaminate the air with the exhaust

of fuel from their private jets and think

nothing of it because their mission is

so important. Politicians become rich

endorsing these lies. True scientists say

that the conclusions are based on

models that misrepresent the facts

or disregard them. The waves are now

back to our shoreline and beginning

to make snow and ice mountains again.

I guess we could call this a mini-ice age.

The gray sea rumbles

Throwing its challenges

To me or anyone listening

Why are you standing there

Aren’t there things to do

People you don’t even know

Are waiting for you now

They have no expectations

But hope you can help

They are hungry, thirsty,

Homeless and cold

Who takes ownership

Over these depressed

Who are also addicted to

Drugs that are not addressed

They cannot be assayed for

Purity, so there is a good chance

They are laced with death

Don’t look away, this is not

Pleasant. Open the books

See the problem and then

Take steps to correct it

Not an easy task as there

Is an agenda that is to

Bring down the last great

Hope of the world and when

Lead by our leaders and those

Who profits we have a job

Almost too great to ponder

Listen to the good book

Our help is in the name of

The father. He is the light

Which will overcome the

Darkness. He alone, and

Not some want-to-be, will

Be the answer, so we look

To him and pray, and act

Make calls and write letters

Time will tell, but at least

We started the ball rolling

The year is nearly over, and it is

going out with a roar. It has not

been the best of times nor the

worst of times. Without getting

into the litany, I will just say that

whatever pain and suffering I

endured I offered as my attempt

to share in the carrying of the

cross of Jesus. Who am I to complain

when we have people starving in Haiti

and when locusts ate the crops of

several eastern countries in Africa,

and when Christians were murdered

or tortured for believing in their faith,

and when we had dictators enslaving

their citizens to control them. These

people have endured much more

then I can imagine. I do not have

a bucket list, but I do have a list of

things I wish to do this coming year.

I want to respect the people with

whom I encounter, do good work

and show love and compassion,

 improve my community, help

those in need and be kind to

everyone and less critical of others.

Today as I look out the window

and see the tree branches waving

and the waves tossing water on

the snow mountains, under the

gray sky I think my goals are hefty,

but when the sun comes back shining

they will seem simple and not enough.

There will be time to add to my list,

God willing, and I will gladly do so.

In the meantime, I pray for strength,

and my fellow man

Looking out you see gray-blue clouds hovering over

a violent deep gray inland sea. Off to the southeast

along the horizon is a streak of orange-pink. The wind

is blowing but not enough to shake the snow from the

branches of the trees. The sun is blocked by lighter clouds.

People argue that this is the worse storm they have had,

but someone always remembers one which was worse

and more damaging than this. It will pass as eventually;

everything and everyone does. Are we shaken by the

development of these happenings? Some people are.

They are the usual ones who do not apply critical thinking

to these situations. They want to say that it is nature’s way

of revolting against man-made climate change. This is so

absurd, but reason will not prevail. Too many lies out there

and the science drawn upon to make these conclusions

is usually flawed and the models used leave out important

components. But it is a way for many, including former

Vice-President Al Gore to make millions of dollars advocating

Climate Change. If man could cause it then man could fix it.

Sea levels will not be up over 20 inches by 2100.

Manhattan was not underwater by 2012 as proclaimed

by Ted Danson. His prediction was heralded, but the failure

of it to materialize was ignored. There is more ice in the

Artic Circle area and Antarctica than ever before measured.

Still the beat goes on and we spend thousands of dollars

per minute trying to solve a not problem, but better yet,

to keep a hoax alive. It is our money, and who cares.

The proclamations are made by the biggest violators

of conservation principles. It is so sad. So to answer

what is the purpose there is no answer. The storm

is just another natural phenomenon.

How often do we say enough?

We have been gifted beyond belief

To want more is insidious

We should be looking to give

Too many go hungry and thirsty

Through no fault of themselves

Dictators, hurricanes, earthquakes

Insert themselves in destiny

We hover around our fortune

Forgetting often those without

Walk proudly for our pitiful contribution

When we should be ashamed

What we have we may have earned

But not without the help of others

Now let’s open the purse and

Scatter help to all those in need

There are rules for all to follow

Illegal action should not be allowed

The higher power says the answer is love

We have to have some understanding

To coincide with the gift of hope and

What is so wrong about hope, love, and

Understanding.  So it is time to swallow

Our pride for really being so meager

Flash our smile with gratefulness as

We see the glee of those so deserving

Water, food, and electricity are ours

So abundant we do not give a second thought

If it were gone suddenly, what would we do?

Pray and ask for mercy; we are so helpless

Be on our knees asking for forgiveness

For neglecting to bear our share of the cross

Then marching to the drumbeat of the Master

He will keep the tempo we need discreet

What makes you laugh, or cry, or think?

Remember it is a daily requisite

If we wish to have a full life

Don’t turn your head and walk away

And leave the work for others

Homer Goodspeed, a fictitious character

was working on a map of Los Angeles,

in which he planned to improve travel

routes and make travel much more accessible.

He started by cutting a grocery bag and

flattening it out. He drew a curvy river

through the center of the city with many

streams entering the river at strategic

locations. There were parking lots where

people could park their cars and then board

the river buses and ride in peace to their

destinations. So far so good. He drew in

roadways to handle the lighter traffic

which now would exist. He had

pedestrian walkways, bike trails,

and helicopter landing pads. Everything was

going fine until he realized that he had

forgotten about the railroad. The more

he thought about it the more insane

he became. He started to sketch tracks

in the sky. They were short run and filled

the sky like clouds going in all directions

with no plan in mind. By the time he finished

he had a wonderful abstract painting which

he embellished with pastels, charcoal, pencil,

and acrylics. When he finished, he had his work

framed and it sold at Christie’s for $300 thousand

to a private collector. it was the only work

that Homer did, and no one has seen

the finished product since the auction.

He died at age 84 and his work was not

mentioned in the obituary.

Ukraine today is a ruptured country. Man’s inhumanity to man is hard to understand. There are groups from around the world trying to help these people with food and other supplies, but they get one load when they need one hundred loads.

Many churches were destroyed by the Russian Army and that was and is bad enough. Now the president and dictator of Ukraine is banning the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. What are the people to do when they wish to congregate in prayer, although God did say to build His places of worship with love, men bring stones. We must continue to pray and help in any way we can. A world that has enough resources to cover the globe is in disarray because dictators have gained control and do not wish to lose it.

Zelensky just announced that he is banning the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

He’s now banned news stations, political parties, jailed opposition leaders, and now religious organizations.

Some “democracy.”

He is apparently fearful that they will take up the cause of Vladimir Putin. The people there who have not been able to leave are cold, hungry, thirsty, and without shelter. They pray for relief in small groups.

WHO IS IT WE ARE SUPPORTING

The Ukrainian people, mostly of

Russian descent are caught in the

War between two dictators.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr

Zelenskyy thanked “every American”

For their support of Ukraine as

He delivered an address to Congress

On Wednesday aimed at sustaining the U.S.

And allied support for his country’s

Defense against Russia’s brutal

Invasion. My question is this:  Is he

Any different than Vladimir Putin?

He has closed and punished churches,

Mostly Christian, in Ukraine. Citizens

Were arrested and persecuted for

Following their religious beliefs.

He made many dramatic remarks

During his speech and received

Standing ovations as he thanked us

Again and again for another 45 billion

Dollars and defensive war machines

Nancy and Kamala were outdoing

Themselves being the first to stand

And clap. It is not a loan, he said, but

And investment in freedom and peace.

More ovations. He continued using

Different words to say the same thing

And was met with the same applause.

Not once did he mention that he was

Controlling his people with an iron fist,

Not allowing them to practice their faith.

I don’t remember him saying the word,

God, even once during his innocent

Presentation. In the end, like a magician,

He pulled a signed Ukrainian flag from

His pocket and laid it on the speakers

Table. Nancy about broke her ankles

Giving Volodymyr an encased flag of

The U.S.A. with a small brass plate

Affixed to it, no doubt to praise him.

This is our congress about to sigh an

Omnibus bill without reading it or

Attempting to pull out all of the pork.
