REMEMBERING WITH JOY

The yard was under my care

Offered my help in the house

When it came to the garden

I did not tend the flowers of the season

Sometime I fertilized and watered

When they drooped I snipped them off

Otherwise the deer did the sculpting

My bride loved to read and knit

She also took pride in sewing

Put her Bernina to heavy duty work

She was a great cook and

Had her famous dishes

Today the children say they are making

Mom’s lasagna, mac and cheese or taco soup

When I moved large rocks in the yard

She would point to where they should go

Her caring was sincere and she loved to laugh

She would have been 79 this year
