LOOKING BACK ON WHAT WAS NEVER THERE

We could talk and laugh

Our innermost feelings touched

Sometimes joyed; sometimes hurt

How did we manage to do this?

I’ve only been gone for a little while

I left what was good in your hands

Now I return and start to cry

Do you like those tears dropping from my eye?

What happened to you in all your thinking?

All this time I’ve been out drinking

Talking philosophy with the best of mankind

On bar stools where love is not a crime

We talk the story; the truth; the gory

Then we might stumble home until tomorrow

But I made a right turn; came back to you

You look at me as a stranger and call me a fool

What happened?  What happened? I ask you

My head is split open wide wondering; wondering

How many steps can be taken before you abide?

I left you clear in your thinking and saw

That you had resolve; had found the path of glory

You said you were the light of lights

Only to find that it is another story

You broke apart with an amazing start

Forgetting the one who was here to heal you

You erroneously thought that meant remake you

Now you fight; argue; most often ignore me

Then walk away convinced that you grew

You regressed, my friend, and now you can’t see

The harm that you have done to you and to me

Now you make claim for a mediator

This is not drama class or theater

But real life; so open your eyes

To things you seem too inept to realize

Remember the crack in the liberty bell

Was that what you used for your socialist swell?

We cannot live by giving away free

The cost we paid for our liberty

We want to give back; but not this way

A one way street to where no one can pay

It sounded so good when sung out in tune

But it is loser’s music as you’ll find out soon

So wake up my child; I must leave again

I want you to stay clear of the vipers den

Sing your own music; the freedom song

Remember the cost; it shouldn’t take long

Ignore the mad-piper; he cannot lead

Don’t give up now unless you want to bleed

Remember me; I gave you my life

Followed your orders; took it all in stride

Look up and see the red, white, and blue

Remember, my friend, all I did for you

I CANNOT DO THIS ALONE

Why are you the chosen one?

Because someone had to be selected

and how do you know you are the one?

The answer is basic—intuition

I see and know the truth

I am sensitive to all needs and glories

I can endure failure, but lift —with

strength to get up and fight the battle again.

I will fight for rights taken away when

the fight is still appropriate.

Peoples throughout history have lost their

God given rights.  Somehow they have

strayed and chosen to serve false idols

leading eventually to exile.  Our country was

found as a place to escape religious persecution.

In the process of our growth, other peoples

have been defeated and left behind.

We did what we did; slaves were

brought here by slave masters.

They were bought and sold and became

important beings in our growth and thankfully

were emancipated and then contributed

in numerous ways to make this country

amazingly successful.  I was the chosen one

and I saw the Manifest Destiny for what it was.

There was opportunity for peaceful coexistence,

but human frailty dissolved it.  Agitators kept

the hostilities on edge and much harm was

endured before we finally came up with our

remarkable constitution.  Blacks were liberated,

but still found guilty just for existing.

I saw the KKK operating in disguise, murdering many

beautiful beings just for existing even knowing

there is no valid reason for any killing.

I saw the hatred, the— I am better than you.  I could

not cry because I knew this was the nature of man.

The need for power swayed peoples mentality and

still exists today.  I see a peaceful coexistence if only

we could adjust our thinking; put our pride on hold, and

dedicate ourselves to universal peace.  As a man-angel

I knew and know that we have a long way to go.

I see individuals who have become powerful and rich and

although they could be influential in bringing about

the glory which should be America they seek control

and power and ultimately total power.  That is why

I am here; this will never happen.  People will revolt;

even those on the other side will not choose misery.

People will come around to the truth.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. although no perfect

knew what trust, and peace would bring.

I see Christians killed all around the world.

There is no outcry, but I will tell you this

as a chosen one that your personal peace

will be found in our big Brother; the one

Who laid down His life for us.

BEING BACK

It is so good to be back

How many years has it been?

Too many to count and

Who has time to waste on counting?

You know what I’m going to say—

Don’t you—come on now, don’t deny it

You are beautiful; more beautiful

Than I can remember and I had

Great trepidation in not knowing for sure

But now that I am here I can tell you

That you exceed my expectations and

Already I am high on your welcome

And kindness and want to thank you.

I’ll tell you the truth, but then—

Don’t I always—you are an angel—

My angel and whether I deserve you

Or not, I’ll take you and together

We’ll travel if only in our minds;

If only through a hundred kisses;

To the pyramids and the Pyrenees;

The canyons and the plains.

We’ll witness delight in others as

We lie close together and talk like

We did about love and philosophy.

There will be on need to be shy

For nothing has changed in you or I

Just an interval which will be like

Extra frosting as we travel back and

Then come back to where we are.

It is so good to be back.

GOODNESS IS NOT WHAT YOU THINK

What do you call goodness friend?

It is probably not what you think.

Making peace with the devil in this

corrupted world is what will make you think.

You align yourself with like thinkers;

listen carefully to their every word.

Do not recognize the pre-disclosed interviews

and suddenly you are perishing by the sword.

The rules are not complicated;

no one spent time in contemplation.

If they fit your agenda then they are okay;

but goodness, my friend, doesn’t work that way.

The man who walked the water

was not that complicated.

He was willing to die and then He rose;

the cause for a glorious celebration.

He left us, but did not leave us alone.

The Holy Spirit would sit on His throne.

His friends cried when He had to leave;

they cried out that they were deceived.

But, no, He taught them everything;

then issued an order for them to go.

The spirit will be with you dear ones—

wherever you may choose to go.

So goodness, my friend is not artificial.

It has a deep and splendid meaning.

But altered by smug and selfish men,

who transpose their human feelings and

are proud of the havoc they feel is normal

and place themselves above sins

even those which are carnal.

Sorry dear friends this goodness is your downfall.

RUSSIA GATE

The cloud of Russian involvement—Russia Gate

What do you think my friend?

We are faded when the truth walks away

Those with the lies should walk the plank

to the very end for their sins

but there is no fear in swampland

we watch feet—see how they drag and then

are warmed up in the bed of the media,

who feel they have nothing to dread

There is no journalism now—is there?

Every announcer uses the very same words—

just listen—the very same words—

one after the other, but truth raises its head

and one by one the people begin to listen

The main stream media—guilty as you can tell

Just continue the smear campaign tactic and

will, right up to the election.  It started before

the last election and continued, putting the

President through what—a living hell?

In spite of all the investigations followed by

exonerations it was not the President who

was at play—understand?  Do you understand?

Outsiders are not welcome, but he was not

an ordinary man.  He made promises and kept them

even with all the pressure of investigations of him.

He kept his promises and then some, beyond

the belief of most—giving back to the people

their dreams.  The deep state cover-up has not worked.

It has delayed releasing the information and

Will probably walk away unscathed and the

American people will be wondering about

how much trust can be placed in the FBI, the Courts,

Department of justice and IRS.  We shall see—won’t we?

WHO IS THIS MAN

The Man we depend on

We trample over

What He has told us

Apparently is not a mover

We know better than

The Man Who walked on the water

We are willing to stand by

And watch the slaughter

We dwell with men of wisdom

Men who have shown the way

It does not seem to matter

As we go about this day

Anger and huffily if

We feel short changed

As to our own actions

Some think we are deranged

Acting like we’re above it all

Evil we wouldn’t consider

But decline to improve condition

Then claim we are not quitters

Hypocrisy is the food we feed on

Our opinions are to be revered

But our collective actions from

What is right should be severed

Proud men walk with dignity

They enjoyed their ride

Smugness they carry with them

This they cannot hide

They forget about the Man

Who walked; a meaningful stride

Filled nets with plenty of fish

Did so without pride

ADVANCING STEP BY STEP

The way is not always

easy to find, but

I can tell you one thing.

If you make no attempt

you will remain lost and

always find an excuse on why

you never advanced in life.

To accomplish takes action.

Lip service does not count

and attempts impressing

through boastfulness is not useful

What you could have done makes

for a very nice story, but what you

actually do, even if it is not much,

gives you a lot more credibility

and may lead you to

the next valid step you take.

As you analyze your progress,

you find that showing up is

an important part of success.

Step by step you proceed and

sometime, somewhere, you

find the path to your way.

You become useful and appreciated.

Life has a new meaning for you.

Self-esteem is important and

you find yourself full of it.

Life take on new meaning and

it does because of you.

JUST A PERSON

I am just a person

One of many

I have known billionaires

And those without a penny

What do I do?

My career may be over

But I keep looking for improvement

I avoid being offended

Everyone has their way

Some are in the coasting mode

I do not agree

It is a downhill road

I think of my good fortunate

Showing up everyday

Developed my core of ethics

Would not want it any other way

The “Content” of life is king

Falling short of potential is sad

But executing beyond expectation is

The thing that makes me glad

I am doing well

For this I am thankful

Come join me; I cry out

What else is there to strive for?

This is not pandering

To me it is intuitive

We must work for justice

Otherwise why live

I am just a person

Potential surely exists

I step up and do my part

Never worry about the risks

I look at other’s choices

Make no judgements

Wonder about the degree

Of their contentment

Live and let live

What brings you joy?

But I never have time

Could be your ploy

I am just one

Have viewed it all

Have not been perfect

But that’s a very close call

I know obligation

Have seen neglect

Our potential greatness

We must protect

NORMA

The sound of her name is like a song

Powerful, but tapering to softness

Loveliest of all; always reaching out

Appears shy and quiet

Insightful in ways unexpected

Could make you laugh at yourself

Precious and beautiful

Humble, loving and caring

If offended she forgave;

Was there for you

Her eyes bewildering

One look makes you think and

Ask yourself if you are doing things right

An unforgettable smile;

One is tamed at first glance

Her amazing personality reflects

The goodness of her soul

You look and know her mind is

Full of good thoughts, often complex

Devoted, deep and ever exploring

Polite, always asking, so as not to offend

Inquisitive and inviting; always imagining

Begins tasks and continues to the end

Stunning, inside and out; always prepared

A sister to the many lucky enough to know her

Knew, so well, the miracle of life and

That life is a precious gift

Which has to be given back

Her angels came and took her soul

Leaving us empty and feeling lonely

We are less without her

Our heart aches when we hear the bells toll

They peal out her favorite words:

UMCOR, UMCOR, UMCOR

We stop and listen and make our resolve
