It is amazing in my mind

That we have not learned

From the past and found

A path to peace that will last.

There always seems to be a

Person who wants to control,

Who want to show the world

How much power they have.

But they have no control over

themselves. There are other

courageous men who will

stand and put an end to the

grief and inequities being

caused around the world. It

all will end when the Prince

of Peace returns to separated

the grain from the chaff. There

will be the burning and the

crying and the gnashing of teeth.

There will be no help for those

Being vanquished. They had their

Chance while wandering the earth.

They forgot about their brothers

And sisters and now, themselves,

Are forgotten. Do good now. Be at peace.

Working hard while waiting for peace

The left is pushing for world control

Jesus gave us a free will

He allows evil to exist, but not unpunished

The liberal left exploits the Christians

They are enslaved, tortured, and slain

Some non-Christians are starved

They are forced to fight a war where

They will surely dive, leaving their

Family hopelessly alone and hungry

There are few speaking out against this

The pulpits are quiet and the media

Acts as if they do not see. There will be

A price to pay for this dereliction of duty

The only group that will control the world

Is the one which follows the good Shepherd

He will protect the vanquished and restore

The peace we are all looking for. In the

Meantime it is up to us to forgo our wants

And give to others as the need arises

When judgement takes place we will

Understand that our needs were minimal

Many chose luxury over helping our fellowman

There is a divide between the two and we

Can have it both ways if we try hard enough

The more we help others the less our own

Needs seem and we can live on the bare minimum

Our esteem will be held high in the eyes of the Lord

The left, who claim to know all the answers

Will have a lot to answer for. Jesus expects us all

To act wisely and will be stern against those who

Did not listen to his word. He told us to go to the

Fringes and help until order takes place and then

To go to the next area of need and keep working

And giving of ourselves for others. Do not give

Until it hurts but give until it feels good

When the left runs out of money they will lose all

Control. It is then that we will have one flock

And one Shepherd and one hell of a fire. We will

Hear the screams and the gnashing of teeth.

I as drifting along

No where to go

Singing a song

Felling so and so

I see the trees

Full of color

Beautiful leaves

This is wonder

The sun is bright

Reflects off of water

What a sight

The rest doesn’t matter

Birds are singing

Obviously happy

Their song is ringing

No one clapping

Waves are slow

Landing on shore

Like a one-horse plow

Couldn’t ask for more

I am in a daze

Eyes barely open

I feel a craze

But am merely hoping

The day will end

Then the news

Letters to send

Then I’ll cruse

The sunlight is again spectacular as

It reflects off the waves of Lake Michigan

in a strobe like manner. Nature speaks to us

in many ways.Just a day or two ago we had

A wonderful show of lightning with thunder

beating so loud that its cracks made you jump

And wonder if any damage had befallen you

or your property which is really God’s property.

If we think about it we are simple caretakers and

many times do not do a very good job of it, not that we

Could match the Father as He lets Nature have its way

with the landscape and a funny thing nature does not

Need a permit from the DNR or DEQ and does not have

to wait for a while until those responsible decide to act.

Many are pompous and act as though they are a head

above us when they are just rookies trying to prove

themselves to the higher ups.

The breeze is blowing up from the south

And the thin layer of cloud is slowly vanishing

Leaves are changing colors and many are

Dropping to the ground. The falling leaves

Drift by my window and thrill me with their

Beauty. Jack Frost has his way.

I see the advertising on

How to lose weight

Food can be bought which

Will modify weight

Without leaving you hungry and

It only costs so much money.

Then another commercial

Pleading for help for those

People in the world, who are

Without food or water. They

Are hungry, thirsty, and mostly

Without shelter. A paradoxical

Situation. We are proud people

But easily forget what Jesus taught

Us, which was to go to the fringes

And help those in need. This is

Forgotten by our leaders and ministers.

We go about as though everything

Is normal and fine. Deep down we know

We must act and follow the precepts

Left to us by the Master.

Today we look at a gray lake

A mild breeze and soft low waves.

On the horizon there is a peach

Colored light giving hope to a warm

Afternoon. After waiting so long

For summer to arrive, we see it

Disappearing before our eyes

It has done this at a speedy clip.

We are used to change and soon

We will be waiting for spring and

Hoping it will come early. However

We will take it as it comes and we

Know that we are lucky people to

Be living in a paradise that God has

Given us here on the shores of the

Beautiful Lake Michigan. We like

The gospel saying, “Many are called,

but few are chosen.” We feel that

many wish they could live here but

only a few lucky ones do. We have

no appetite for more than we have

and are thankful for all of God’s gifts

to us. It is for us to take care of His

bounty and that is what we do. We

accept what He gives and takes away.

Do not remember that Jesus has

Worked in many ways to help us.

He did not want us to dwell in the

Temple in Jerusalem, but gave us the

Holy Spirit to receive and thereby

Making us all the temple of God.

We are the living stones and should

Be building a new spiritual house and

Know that God’s Spirit dwells in us.

Jesus promised that where two or three

are gathered in His name, He is there in the

Midst of them. We wonder how this is

Possible, since we are all sinners, and not

Holy enough, humble enough or pure enough

To become part of God’s temple or even

Come into his presence on our own. Jesus

Knew that we were sinners and weak, but

For God all things are possible. Jesus said

For human beings this is impossible but for

God all things are possible. He has told us that He

Can make us His temple where He and the

Father call home. He has in fact done this.

It is up to us with His help to honor this.

Fog is drifting b my window

Riding on the current of wind

There is a purpose, although

We cannot even begin to

Understand the ways of

Nature. We do miss the sun

And cannot see the horizon

We could be missing out on

A day of fun.

The day moves through morning,

Afternoon and evening and

As in life when we lose someone

There will be grieving, with hope

That tomorrow will be better.

Tomorrow comes and I see

Colored leaves falling, Now and

Then the sunlight catches the

Leaves. Beauty at that time is abundant

The horizon shows under a blue sky.

There is reason for optimism.

We learn from our experience.

Life can be interpreted as good or bad.

It will make us sometimes happy or sad.

Look for the positive

There is always beauty

Sometimes we just have to look for it.

The Jews were horrified when

Their city and Temple were destroyed

They were exiled, but managed to keep

Their faith. Today a great many Christians

Can identify with the Jews in exile as they

Have no access to a church, or their faith

Is outlawed. They may be soldiers on

The front lines, or a prisoner, or maybe

Homebound or in an area where there

Are no priests available. They could feel

Lonely or distant from the Lord, but the

Lord does not abandon them. We, too, must

Not abandon them, but love them, pray for

Them and bless them. We should never take

For granted the life we have. We open our hearts

To receive love and prayers and ask Jesus to

Stay close to us.
