Those speaking out of both

Sides of their mouth. We

Should have a system in place

To protect our country from

Illegal entry. Atrocities are

Being committed over His

Universe. What is wrong

With living in peace? What

Would working together bring

If there were no ulterior motives?

What if we could be the best

World ever,, the best country,

Ever, the best state ever and

The best city ever? What if we

Could do away with ego?

I HAVE READ THE WORD

I have read the word and

Have attempted to understand.

It is staggering and when

I listen to boastfulne

Others, it is exhausting

Because next to the word

It is meaningless. Only

Goodness counts and

Mostly their words are

Empty as they come

From the mouths of sinners.

There is hope if we could

Convince them to listen to

The true word and how

It could lead them to goodness.

WHAT I HEAR

I hear the word no

It makes me sad

So easy to walk away

And ignore responsibility

I cannot judge.

It is not my duty.

I am charged with going forward.

Working for causes that improve condition

Many agree that this should be done

But do not participate.

They have reasons, many valid.

I want to cry out, but then I remember

I have a cross to carry. This I must do

With dignity calling on the Holy Spirit

To enlighten me as I take my steps.

The world if full of chaos including

Persecution, death and genocide.

What can we do, except that which is in

Front of us. So easy and still many no’s.

I will not cry but will walk with my shepherd.

FRIDAY THOUGHTS

Today we think about

Saint Paul; evil and good;

Dark and light; blind and

Being able to see. In this

Country Christians are

Being persecuted in a

Subtle way. Christ is being

Removed from everything

Possible and ridicule is

Prominent if someone,

Who is Christian has some

Human fault. We must

Wake up and rise up in

Against this. How? In prayer

And in thinking before we speak

And letting others see Christ in

Us and look for Jesus in others.

Paul became a greater good

Then he ever was in evil. Christ

Died for his sins just as He died

For ours. Now goodness and Light

Should be our themes and goals.

MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY

I ask to be closer to

The Lord and follow His plan

For me. Keep me humble and

Gracious and non-judgmental.

Misunderstanding, outlandish

Remarks are made and civility

Vanishes like the morning mist.

False accusations become

The truth and those proud

Stick with it and pass it along.

What about our religion. Are we

Not to be kind, solve problems

Together, sanctify each other and

Agree to disagree, but with respect.

CRASHING WAVES

The waves are crashing the shore

Whitecaps from far out make it

All the way and then roll back to

The normal water. It makes me

Think of the blowhards who make

Unreal proclamations, are put down

And then drift back into obscurity.

The world is full of these people.

Many are believed and a following

Is established. They become a threat

To decency and disrupt what was a

Good flow of humankind. They are

Backed by Hollywood and moneyed

Men who require us to fight back

Wasting our energy and turning us

Away from the useful things we were

Doing to improve life for everyone.

There is no free lunch. We must be

Alert to every threat which could

Demolish us. This evil persists and

Has always been with us but until

Picked up by those in power has

Remained dormant and manageable

Now we have our work cut out for us.

Do not be timid. This is real life and

We do not want to go over the cliff

And crash like the whitecaps do on

The shore. Fight furiously fellows

Until the victory is ours.

THE WONDER OF THE SUN

The sun drizzled its rays on the

Choppy waves giving a strobe

Like effect. I had to turn my

Head away because it was

So brilliant. I am thankful for

The sun because all energy

Ultimately comes from it. A

Single seed planted sprouts

And becomes a stalk and cells

Differentiate to become leaves

And the small ears of corn. The

Cells become stalk, kernels and

Silky threads. Eventually we have

A lovely ear of corn. Only God

With the help of the sun could

Do this. A miracle from each seed.

We invent things which most time

Lead to the destruction of the earth.

We use chemicals indiscriminately

And pay the consequences with

Poor health, contaminated water,

And polluted minds. The sun is our

Friend but we must work with it. Its

Heat gives us CO2 which is absorbed

By plants and trees and they give us

Oxygen. Chemistry no one thinks about.

Yes, the sun is a wonder and wonderful.

WALK THIS WAY

This morning, I saw two

Yellow leaves scattering

On the black driveway.

I thought of the beauty

They showed and again

About the magnificence

Of nature. I think as I walk

Through the woods that

The way to do it is to look

For all the wonder and be

Thankful for what has been

Given to us. So many times,

We take for granted the

Beauty, we see, especially

In the spring and autumn.

It would be wise to walk

With thanksgiving in our

Mind and heart, giving the

Almighty His due. If we do

This we will be full of joy.

This would be the best part

Of walking and we would

Want to repeat it often.
