No one said that Life was easy There is a purpose and We are to know Everything we do is Not unknown, whether Good or bad, but God is forgiving His Son died for us And for our sins He directs our goodness He knows all and Each of us has a purpose We may never know what That purpose is, however We should open up to it And thank Him for Working through us It is not always the Momentous; the noticeable Often the little things Will make the impact We are not alone With God’s help We become a duet He does not need us But we can not Live without Him He gives meaning To our lives We must tamper down our ego This is not a waiting game We should open up and act now No one knows how many Chances will be given Our movement must be sincere Meaningless works against us Follow the good voices we hear Stanski July 16, 2021 ^

A LITTLE BIT LATE
At nine o’clock I start thinking About those I have forgotten I wonder if I have ever hurt them In ways that I never sought This is life and things happen In ways that one never knows Soon you are forgotten, too And only your sorrow shows I think of many things In the past that passes us by Wonder how things might have been When viewed form someone else’s eye The thing is, we all move on Except those who tend to cling They become the champion of stories Know every song we would wing No way to go back to the past Because now it is only pro-log Look at the steps we took to Only become a useful cog In the wheel of life that is turning, but Waiting not for you or me Step aboard and become part of the action Be the best that you can be Or jump off and seek isolation Avoid anything that seems untoward Live a life futile and complaining Of no excitement and that you are bored Answers do no come easy Sometimes no answers at all I can picture one laying in repose In a casket in an empty hall I think of all the people Wonder where they are And if they soared like a rocket Or stayed just how they were Stansberry McKricken aka Stanski July 15, 2021 ^
INTERRUPTION WITH PURPOSE
I interrupt my writings To declare how frightened I am with what is going on In our country since the So called election of The present occupant Most who are honest, whether Liberal or conservative, would Say that we are in a state of affairs Which is not conducive to A favorable outcome Most will understand my fear All of the outpouring of good Which had been part of life Now appears meaningless As we watch the left take over And create new ideologies Which are denied by The average leftists who Say that they are not that crazy But the proof is in the doing and They show up too late with too little The left white-lists those who are Trying to keep our country great I tremble at their intentions Socialist Marxism is not pretty We can look at Cuba and Venezuela As examples of this outcome The only thing equal is the shared misery It is hard to believe that the left Is working hard to achieve this I shudder at the number of lives lost By our military trying to defend freedom And the de-funding of the police who Are trying to keep the peace I pray for the “peaceful protestors” and Hope they will wake up soon Stanski July 14, 2021 ^
FINDING THE TRUTH
In life there are things We wish to believe – maybe Because we are prejudiced And we stick with these beliefs Until we are convinced otherwise Then we take another view This is normal It is called behavior No one wants to be wrong But most normal people When truth becomes obvious Come around to logic It is not magic More like maturity We take time to reflect Delve into critical thinking Move away from group think Realize the joy of independence We look at the forest It looks as if one, but Many trees exist, each different Some similar; they make up the sum People, too, make up the whole They resemble each other, But are not totally alike Thinking will not be the same Source of information differs We all have opinions Truth lays there amongst us We should all be thinking Looking for logical positions Based on authentic facts Peace comes in your own shade The loudest voice isn’t always right Your opinions may cost you Relationships are broken Seasons are always changing Life is a precious gift We often lose track of this Nothing is so important To make us forget Stanski July 13, 2021 ^
CLIMATE CHANGE AGENDA
The agenda is Climate Change It is not an agenda It is an ideology The Great Lakes were Carved out by glaciers Pictured Rocks in Munising Are 300 million years old They were not caused by man The English Channel was formed When the rivers which formed From melting glaciers washed Out the soft land mass between Western Europe and the United Kingdom All voices should be heard, but As advocates fly away in their private jets To attend meetings or receive awards We are left wondering where There truth comes from It used to be global cooling, but when That failed it became global warming And as that concept was disproved The accepted term shifted to climate change This type of change is nothing new in The history of mankind; nature has its cycles And all energy comes from the sun This is denied by the elite who cannot Profit from this very pointed truth Climate has changed for millions of years We do not need pompous leaders to Profit over what they have no control This misguidance with purpose Will have its consequences Those who believe are foolish Those who deny are punished Stanski July 13, 2021 ^
WE TURN OUR BACKS
The occupant says Unwittingly and unknowingly That the Cuban people Are protesting for the Chinese Virus Vaccine And there are cheers Amongst the left and Their water carriers No, no, no --- The protest Is for freedom; the removal From communist control Many will die because They do not want Marxism But desire capitalism and liberty Those on the left are content They gave their two cents worth The Cuban’s uprising must be supported We turn our backs as We salute solo space flights Where are our priorities We are watching our leaders Endorse Marxist Socialism Pretending we are racists We watch our women’s soccer team Fumble around, hunch their shoulders Act indifferently as a 98 year old World War II veteran plays the Star Spangled Banner on his harmonica Who from Cuba would not be proud? They risk their lives for freedom The far-left remains silent on Cuban protests – mislabeling them Our occupant is not cognizant The Lady in the Harbor cries Stanski July 12, 2021 ^
A DREAM STOLEN IS A GOOD DREAM
I have the dreams, don’t ask me why. They are what I would call very natural, even intuitive. They come to me sometimes in the early morning while I lie in bed. I have no idea of the minutes involved. It could be hours, possibly only seconds, but when I sense awareness I get up feeling exhausted. I know then I am in real life and dangers as well as suffering exists all around. I am an angel in my distinct human form and have real angels in my midst. I can hear them breathing. They are patient, but always in a hurry. I cannot look at them for they cannot be seen. We speak our own versions of the same language. When I begin I am on my own even in their midst. I will find something finished that I had to do and wonder what angel showed up early. It does not matter in reality because the achievement is the only important thing. I (we) move on with an awareness of the perking and churning that is going on, our destiny must continue. Angels work quietly and make no claim. I make no claim. When bells ring around noon we stop independently, speak with the Master in prayer. He does not demand this and is thrilled to hear familiar voices, astonished that we continue to care. We are enlivened with eagerness, although I never want to overdo in any one day. If I do it some of my dreams seem stolen. I stop appropriately, knowing that today has been good. I return home to relax and drink wine. I put out several bottles and glasses. I hear singing and laughing. I join in knowing that this is the smelling of flowers, reaching the top of the mountain and the filling up after the emptying. I will safely sleep, knowing all is well for now. AFTERNOON WONDERING
Nature’s ways and gifts Raise hope for The talent We may have or Desire to develop Clouds move away from the sun The light and brightness inspire Then gray and dark puffs of sky Bring a quick change in the weather Snowflakes large and plentiful Take away the vision of the horizon Then without notice, ceases, Leaving us in wonder Squirrels and birds carry on The deer come and go Larger footprints suggest wolves Who have a way of staying low The soft ground is scarred when Plowed to remove the snow Time will heal: No one will know Damaged fences will be mended in time The story of mankind The problem of understanding These mysteries keep us enthralled We celebrate the seasons The changes every day Staying true to our senses Is easier than keeping up on our work Somehow in the end Everything important gets done We have our fling being dismissive Then pay the price when we get flung It all works out like rain and thunder In the end we can only wonder, but We know that we are not in charge And realize we are safer that way Stanski July 12, 2021 ^
WRITING TO HEAL
No melody; just ripping, dropping, cussing and other unexplained noises keep me from focusing in on what I am going to be doing. Time idles away until finally the noise subsides and I am able to proceed with calm hands and peaceful mind. No one can preach to a fire siren or play music to a lawnmower. Steady, steady I proceed, filling in blank spaces on the paper in front of me. I don’t expect a Whitman, Frost, or Sandburg, but hope for something acceptable to the less critical eye. This is daytime, so the natural mystic of the night is not going to aid me in any way. My arousal will come from sources unknown. Music will help so I listen to soft jazz. It helps my rhythm and tweaks my creative side in just the right shades of expression and inspiration for the way I am feeling now. Help is needed and my attempt to provide it through poetry has worked in the past, but that soul baring, tortuous procedure is difficult, even though I give it my all. Many have counseled with words. I proceed while finding it difficult to stay focused on my resolve. The whole wall, if you want to look at it in that way, may crumble and fall to the ground before the impact of this missive has a chance to challenge or soothe. I only have the present, so I will use what I come up with, hoping for the best and will attempt to get in the zone, so to speak, at a later date. This is never easy. There is no logical basis for expecting success, except that you have been there before and triumphed. The world of the living goes on and the array of emotions can blend together to present a reassuring effect. When approaching the spiritual realm, in which one has suffered a heartbreaking loss, feelings spatter in all directions and finding a safe harbor takes more time than those on the outside can comprehend. Still, I go on and will keep writing until I find the right touch, the warm balm that begins the healing. Steve Haarman aka Stanski January 20, 2015 ^
YOOPER HEAVEN
We walked the beach at sunset Small waves lapped the shore Cool air blew in our faces The creek was where we turned around, but Not before we watched the sun drop Below the western horizon The sky was brilliant with color The wind picking up was at our back We call this living Some wonder what yoopers do Stanislaus Kuperski the Firski aka Stanski July 8, 2021 ^
