The rain this morning
Cannot dampen the delight
Of being alive in this
Land of enchantment
The sounds of nature
Fill me with excitement
I know there is work to do
Modification of the landscape
Creates a lovely garden
Always needing care
Plant locations may be changed
Today, with the ground wet,
Would be a great time
My juices flow much like
An excited artist
I know there will be results
Just don’t know what for sure
The sun will surely break through
Causing enough drama for everyone
Reflection then will be soon
What was done and also
The things still needing to be done
Seasons progress and
We continue to grow
Impatience is not a much-used term
All things in their time
This will be laid out for me
Each day I will know
Life’s rhythms guide me
I move to the sounds
The special late summer symphony
