The Father sent His Son to

Redeem us because we broke

Our trust with Him by sinning.

We are very crude, and it is

Natural, it seems, for us to sin.

President Trump has sinned and

Former President Clinton has

Sinned, I have sinned. My friends

Have sinned. It may be time to

Quit talking about sinning and

Begin repenting for our wrong doings.

Evil exists around the world and

Our prayers and efforts should be

About correcting all the harm that

Is going on. All religions should come

Together and be one. In the end that

Is how it will be. We cannot just wait

But must begin. This will please the

Father. It is what He wants.

Winter delayed, then came on

With fury, Snow, gray and cold,

Along with a non-stopping wind.

No one is complaining out loud.

They are accepting folks and

This was just another one of

Those things. They had things

To do and kept on doing them.

At church they greeted you as

Though everything was alright,

But you could see it in their eyes,

The question, “When will this all

End.”

It is beautiful out.

A different kind of beauty.

Gray skies and windy

Snow mountains being pushed ashore.

I will try to keep focused on Jesus.

He is in charge and will get

Me through the day successfully.

His ways are great.

His plans for me are doable.

I will open up to Him with thanks.

I want to write without hurting feelings. 

I have friends who take the position of the leftists. 

I have asked them several questions and their answers

lead me to think that they believe mostly the same as I do,

but still take the stunning position of desecrating the President,

some calling him the worst ever.

I ask if they know what he has accomplished and

nothing is the answer I usually receive. 

I ask what he is guilty of and receive a few stumbling accusations. 

I ask about the Senate probe and the Mueller probe

and point out how nothing was found. 

They can only shrug. 

They say the President is sexist, xenophobic, racist, genocidal,

homophobic, and imperialistic, obsessed with money,

morally inferior to those in West Europe, desires power,

does not care for the planet or animals, and is materialistic. 

I am dumbfounded as I listen to these thoughts and expressions. 

They have taken the attributes of the left and applied them to the President. 

They do not appear to be trying to be clever, but are sincere in their beliefs. 

I cannot ask where they are getting their information for it is obvious

that it is coming from the main stream media. 

I do not ask if they engage in critical thinking. 

I do not argue.  I respect them and hope

they know what socialism is and what road

their leaders are taking them down

I will remain a deplorable

LAZY JANUARY THOUGHTS

My eyes are heavy from

Snow’s hypnotic glare

I could nod off, but

I am thinking about life

Changes are always occurring

Things important have vanished

What was their appeal?

I am now alone

Did I forsake myself?

Unto thyself be true

Righteousness comes from

Acting in a good manner

Alone or with others

Goodness is a safe virtue

No apologies or regrets

You remain who you are

The coming and going of others

May affect your emotions, but

Not your pathway

Tomorrow will bring a new dawn

No returning to square one

Just carry on as before

Weather will not impede

I sit and contemplate

About all the advertising

We hear about things we

Have no need for or a

Perceived need. We are

Who we are even if we have

A double chin or a flabby neck.

We hear of all kinds of deals

On food and then ads that

Encourage us to buy products

That will help us slim down.

All of this would be fine, I feel

If things were somewhat equal

Around the world. Dictators keep

Their citizens (slaves) hungry and

Keep our donated food and drink from

Them. We see holocaust survivors

Scratching the soil for food and picking

Up nuts like acorns for their cuisine.

Their needs are advertised also and

There hope is that we with so much

Respond in a neighborly way. Jesus told

Us what to do and we should follow Him

And not worry about our nail polish and

Hair color or the clothes we wear.

Just a touch, a simple thing,

Is all it takes to remind one

That he is human and has needs.

Sometimes when we are alone

We become aware of our need

For others. We have Jesus with

Us in our spirituality and feel secure.

Still human touch is important.

I want to remember this as I see

Others who seem alone.

I sit in a front pew.

A group behind me prays.

They have a protocol which

They follow. I respect this.

I sit alone and write. I ask

God’s blessings on them,

The priest and myself.

I have many irons in the forge

And know that if this is a dance,

I must Waltz with Him.

Without his hand I am nothing.

He works through me and

This association overwhelms  me.

He is my brother, shepherd and

Creator. So awesome. I remain

Humble with hope.
