And corporations. Raising taxes
Kills jobs. Other states are cutting
Taxes and many citizens are moving
To those states. Granholm, the
Former Governor raised income tax
And tens of thousands of our fellow
Citizens left our state. Millions in taxes,
Not counting the corporate handouts,
In 2023 and 2024, have been imposed
by the family and medical leave law and
cigarette tax. These subsidy programs
have an negative employment impact.
Jobs were created but at a cost of
Incentives offered between $125.000 and
$330,000 per job per year. To repeat this
Formula of tax and lose jobs is insane.
It is a formula designed to fail.
