THE SUN SHINED TODAY
After a night of rain we welcomed
A beautiful morning, The lake water
Rolled onto the shore, the wind came
Out of the southeast. There were a few
Whitecaps, they seemed to try to
Outdo each other. The temperature
Was mild. Seagulls floated above the
Water. They may have been looking
For fish. I could see no people hiking
Along the shore, it is a holiday weekend
And most of the events will take place
On Sunday which is a day of rest. I
Wonder what the King of peace thinks
Of our carrying on the way we do. we
Make no exceptions, but think the
One on High should step back and
Admire us for being so thoughtful in
One respect and crass in another.
We have a loving Lord who gave up
His life for us so that we may join
Whit him in heaven. He will come
Again in glory to judged so it would
Behoove us to live a life that follows
In His footsteps. If we do we will be
Able to take a seat in His kingdom.
