WHEN GRAY IS DONE

After all the gray weather

The sun is a welcome gift

We wait and wait as if for

Something on thrift. We

Do not always get our way

Or enjoy our favorite day

But if our attitude is right

We will not take flight, but

Wait until our turn appears

To be. Weather is natures gift

It is given freely without

Hesitation and the good part

Is that you will need no

Reservation. Just wait, it will

Come and with it our joy and

Thanks. The brightness is

In toxifying, sometimes too

Much bliss.

TUMBLING TUMBLE WEEDS

The wind is blowing

There is no snowing

But weeds are in the air

They roll and stop as

They bump into objects

Then release and continue

On the plains they are

Ubiquitous in the Midwest

Not so much. They are

Fun to watch and follow

They make nice arrangements

And if they are fresh will last

For quite a while. Bugs do not

Infest them and they look

Right at home. On the plains

They drift right along and

Create glee for the passengers

Riding the road along side them

Nature provides us with curious

Things. We can enjoy or look

Away. The western movies

Are abundant with them and

Now and then they startle a

Horse. If each one provided

Food and water we would have

No hungry or thirsty people in

The world. Thei is not the case
