WINTER ICE

How do you like your

Wounds? Sewn or spliced?

You have to be careful

There is winter ice.

I fell two years ago

It was black ice

I have been healing

Ever since. The said it

Would take twenty four  

Months. It is dreadful

Seemingly, no success.

Don’t give up, keep trying

You’re making progress.

So, I listen and try

I want to sit down and cry

But, I show up at physical

Therapy and am treated

Every admirably .

They encourage and applause

One more month then a pause.

I’ll see the doctor, he will look

At me and say very seriously

You need more P.T.
