THE MARTYRS KEEP MARCHING

We have to reconcile ourselves

With the martyrs who risk their

Lives on a daily basis in order to

Bring the words of Jesus to their

Neighbors and friends. It is not an

Easy assignment but they undertake

It willingly. We must make our sacrifice

For them so that they may continue.

Some lose their lives, are tortured

And jailed. They know their mission

And continue to bring peace through

Christ to the many who want to know

All they can about this devout man

Who is the son of God and who gave

His life for us so that we may have

Everlasting life with Him. There are many

Who do not believe and we may

Petition for them while keeping in mind

Our own souls and those who have yet

To hear about Him. To have a hand in

Bringing the hope for salvation to one

Person would be a great accomplishment.

The world is in an uproar at this time

But we must not lose hope.

DON’T STOP NOW

It was Leonard Cohen who wrote

“Ring the bells that still can ring,

Forget your perfect offering; there

Is a crack, a crack in everything.

That is how the light gets in.”

So we won’t look for perfection,

But make do with what we have.

We may hear beautiful sounds

And be thankful for the light. The

Sounds will lift us to a higher plane

Where we will let more light in

Which won’t let us hide from sin.

We will know by then that there

Is truth in our hymns and will want

To keep on going until we patch up

And caste away every evil we find

Along our pathway. Then when we

Hear the ringing we will know that

The light was important and we will

Be able to sing along in gracefulness,

In a thankful mood using what we have

To get to where we want to be and

Our dreams will be alive and the

Mountains like small hills. We will

Listen for the echoes and ask for

The strength to keep going.

WHEN WILL WE EVER LEARN

Windmill Facts

By: Dan Nebert

March 28, 2022

That little yellow thing at the top of the picture is a CAT-9 bulldozer. It is burying acres and acres of windmill blades used for “Green Energy.” Why?

Because these blades need to be disposed of, and there is presently no way to recycle them. That’s how green energy works! Who knew? Maybe the people that make them knew. Why would they let that cat out of the bag? After all, they are government-subsidized with tax-payer money (just like every electric car). Also, politicians do not want those huge eyesores in their backyard.

Right now, the average wind farm contains about 150 turbines. Each wind turbine needs 80 gallons of oil as a lubricant, and we’re not talking about vegetable oil, this is a PAO synthetic oil based on crude. 12,000 gallons of it for 150 turbines, and that oil needs to be replaced once a year. It is estimated that a little over 3,800 turbines would be needed to power a city the size of New York… That’s 304,000 gallons of refined oil per year for just one city. That’s 25+ wind farms.

Now, you have to calculate every city across the nation, large and small, to find the grand total of yearly oil consumption from “clean” energy. Where do you think all that oil is going to come from? Well, since January 2021, it comes from our enemies in the Mideast. Not to mention the fact that the large equipment needed to build these wind farms runs on petroleum. As well as the equipment required for installation, service, maintenance, and eventual removal. And just exactly how eco-friendly is wind energy anyway?

Each turbine requires a footprint of 1.5 acres, so a wind farm of 150 turbines needs 225 acres. To power a city the size of NYC, you’d need 57,000 acres; and who knows the astronomical amount of land you would need to power the entire US. All of which would have to be clear-cut land because trees create a barrier and turbulence that interferes with the 20mph sustained wind velocity necessary for the turbine to work properly. Also, keep in mind that not all states are suitable for such sustained winds. Boy, cutting down all those trees is gonna upset a lot of green-loving tree-huggers.

Let’s now talk about disposal.

The lifespan of a modern, top-quality, highly efficient wind turbine is 20 years. After that, what happens to those gigantic fiber composite blades? They cannot be economically reused, refurbished, reduced, repurposed, or recycled. So, it’s off to special landfills they go. And, they’re already running out of these special landfill spaces for the used blades that have already exceeded their usefulness. Those blades are anywhere from 120 ft. to over 200 ft. long, and there are 3 per turbine. And that’s with only 3% to 7% of the nation currently being supplied with (intermittent, i.e., unreliable) wind energy. Just imagine if we had the other 93% of the nation on the wind grid… 20 years from now you’d have all those unusable blades with no place to put them… Then 20 years after that, and 20 years after that, and so on. “Green energy?”

Also, about 500,000 birds are killed each year from wind turbine blade collisions, many of which are endangered hawks, falcons, owls, geese, ducks, and eagles. Apparently, smaller birds are more agile and able to dart and dodge out of the way of the spinning blades, whereas the larger soaring birds aren’t so lucky.

Here’s another problem with windmills. The generator and switching equipment operate at high power and voltage. Everything in the windmill nacelle (look it up) is compact due to limited space, so there’s a danger of arcs and electrical fires. This is prevented by putting all the electrical equipment in a pressure vessel filled with sulfur hexafluoride (SF6), a synthetic gas that has dielectric properties which suppress arcs and fires. However, windmills leak this gas, something around a pound each per year. SF6 has an atmospheric lifetime of 3,200 years and is 22,800 times more effective as a greenhouse gas than carbon.

THIS IS ANOTHER ITEM THAT FALLS UNDER THE CATEGORY OF, “GEE WHIZ, I GUESS WE DIDN’T THINK THIS THROUGH”(!!!)

THE FLOW

Kindness is part of the marketplace

If is often not seen as it takes place

Often it is obvious

Sometimes heralded

Mostly done quietly

Changing lives

One at a time

Affecting receiver and giver

A passion for compassion

Frees the soul and removes burden

Just a word may be necessary

Serious gifting is also called for

No judgements are made

This would shackle the effort

Reduce its importance

The emptying of oneself

In the service of others

Is the vehicle necessary to

Keep us filled up with grace

How easy to look away and

Difficult to engage personally

But, this is our challenge

We will be held accountable

Fear of this should not be a motivator

Kindness is an act of love

Seeing need and moving on it

One act makes so much difference

It is often compounded because

One good thing leads to another

We keep track of ourselves

There is no human scorecard

A happy heart is a great reward

The burden of ignoring is heavy

Which way are we going to go?

We must all decide

Especially when we are aware

To give is a precious thing

Enduring is not always easy

The Cross was not light

It lead to a great sacrifice

The greatest act of love and kindness

Should we not follow?

There is still time

We can start right away

ECHOES OF MYSELF

A guy writes to me about my poem.

“Echoes of Whitman”, he says.

“Echoes of myself”, I say.

Me and the other guy who is also me.

I am not just one being, one thought,

one copy but an entity of much.

Many songs, not just of myself,

many marches, none of which I composed.

Many parades, some of which I organized

are all part of who I am.

I heard an echo of my own cry.

It was a lovely echo, consoling in a way,

though, that bothered me.  I enhanced my cry.

The echo shouted back in such a way as to rile me.

That is more like it, I thought.

I want nothing to do with timidity.

You go nowhere with it and no one cares.

I will walk above the river, not wishing

to be lost in its currents for no good purpose.

The bridge is a safe place with the advantage of

being able to observe and then make decisions.

I have no longing to be someone else or

a decoy set out to attract the real thing.

One of my selves is real, so I use pen-names

to keep the things of life unsettled.

My other selves will speak for themselves.

My concepts of the high-desert and a marshland,

except for the intrinsic differences,

may be very much alike.

I see the spiritual in both and

that is my high-hand or go to in life.

I do not wish to use vagueness in

an effort to skim over reality.

I know the food of the soul

just as I know troubled waters.

We walk swiftly, me and the other guy,

knowing time is so precious.

We will not take time to be measured

on this perpetual journey.  We know

Who will be waiting for us.

YOU JUST DO NOT KNOW

Some of the artifacts from

the great old movies,

called classic by those in the know,

are being auctioned off

for millions of dollars.

The sizzle in the advertising

is a little flat, but you

can’t argue with the numbers.

The Wizard of Oz, Casablanca,

Breakfast at Tiffany’s,

to name a few,

have pieces of memorabilia

worth many dollars.

The announcer says it’s like

owning art and maybe so.

He mentioned Renoir,

Degas and Cezanne.

What about Warhol and Lichtenstein?

They are doing pretty good at auction.

I looked out in the garage and found

an old garden rake that I used

when I first started yard keeping.

It has a lot of sentimental value to me

and ought to be worth some big bucks.

In the attic is a television,

broken I might add,

that we used to watch

the Howdy Doody Show and

the Disney Mouseketeers.

I’m sentimentally thinking

a lot of money here, but

then you never know.

It is all just stuff and

significance is in the eyes of the beholder.

An old bowling ball, a fat-tire bicycle and

a Wilson tennis racket are all there

waiting for discovery.

Step right up;

may I draw your attention to the center ring?

PROGRESSING

Committees

and

bureaucrats

slow down

progress

My feeling is

get the job done

and

ask questions

later

By the time

decisions

are made

you have lost

your energy

Better off

going ahead

and

finish the job

on your own

Then let the

critics take over

Easier this way and

gives them something

constructive to do

PEOPLE FORGET OR NEVER KNEW

A long time ago before we could

Possibly imagine, the land of

Israel was promised to the Jews

Until the end of time. There have

Been interruptions but the Jewish

People have always been able to

Claim their land and wars and

Bombings have never negated the

Truth of the matter. In recent times

Jordon removed the Palestinians of

A certain sect from their land and no

Other Arab country wanted them so

They formed the PLO and tried to

Not only take over Israel but also

Kill the Jewish people. The PLO was

Offered 95% of their wishes but refused

To accept because their goal was to

Exterminate all Jews. The Palestinians

Became terrorists, Hamas was formed

And then Hezbollah, all funded by Iran,

Who received money from us for the release

Of prisoners. We have done foolish things

And are now paying the price. I hope we

Wake up soon.

WHAT YOU HEAR

People are saying or muttering

Maybe this is the end time

I compare that to false worship

No one knows and can only

Surmise. We will know when

That time is here. Jesus will

Protect the homeland which

He gave to the Jewish people

We are aghast at what is going on

But we have no idea what God

Has in mind. We could cluster

Bomb Tehran, Moscow, North

Korea , and China, but cooler

Heads prevail. We will know

What to do when the time comes.

In the meantime we must pray

For guidance and for the Jews.

CHEAP AND CLEAN

Many are the lies told

To bring us into the fold.

Birds killed and chemicals

Seeping through the earth

To our water supply. The cost

Of mining for chemicals to

Make the equipment to

Harness the sun’s energy.

The cost of slave labor and

Human life in obtaining them.

The life of the equipment

Cut in half of that stated, but

At the same price. The dependency

On fossil fuel to make and

Transport equipment to desired

Locations. The cost of the land

Needed to house equipment.

The need to rely on fossil fuels

When the sun doesn’t shine or

The wind doesn’t exist. The

Destruction of land in mining for

Necessary chemicals. There are

Many other details to derail the

Idea of cheap and clean. We better

Hurry as our oil reserves are down

To almost zero.
