A muse by Steve Haarman
Aka Stanski
First of all I am thankful for life
And for people who are trying to
Make it bearable for refugees
Especially those who have to live
Amongst terrorists in their area.
Violent attacks by Islamic Fulani
Soldiers following orders by those
In command. There are ministries
There who are doing their best to
Keep as many safe as possible.
Precautions must be taken.
Despite efforts to avoid attacks
Many people have died including
A 5-year-old boy murdered and
Then having his body mutilated
And abandoned. This is very real
Violence in Nigeria. Their protection
Is rooted in the Holy Spirit. The
Missionaries are constructing a
Micro-ranch for the Christian refugees
They have armed guards at the
Compound and escorts when they
Go into areas that are extremely
Dangerous. They feel that the safest
Place is in the middle of God’s will
Such faith is exceptional and the
Refugees are listening and learning
The orphans and widows are being
Tended to. The missionaries are
Teaching job skills which will get
Them off the streets and earn a
Living. It is sad to hear the complaints
Of those in our country who think
They have it tough and bad. It is sad
To watch the violence in our country
Where stealing and destroying property
Is commonplace, even though we
Have sources for food, water, and
Clothing available. Why are we
Defunding the police who put their
Lives on the line for us. The Psalms
Give us hope that the Lord will
Have the micro-ranch built and
Keep it safe-guarded. There are needs
All over the world and it is up to us
to tend to all of them.
