Rabindranath Tagore wrote that God waits
For men to build His Temples with love
Men bring stones. Today there is thunder
And rumbling in the heavens. God is not
Happy. He gave us free will and we eat
The forbidden fruit, pounce upon and
Curse our fellow men to diminish them
And enhance ourselves. Lightning flashes
Across the skies. He is lighting up the
Darkness we find ourselves in. He gave
Us life and allowed us to develop and
Advance and still we have thirst, along
With hunger. We have a nation which
Because of ego, flattens another country,
Ukraine along with Russia, is the
Breadbasket, ruined by war causing shortages,
Hunger and starvation. God is ignored.
Humanitarian efforts are blocked by the
Soviets. They have long term plans,
Which include suppression of other
Eastern Europe countries who are
Fruitlessly looking at us for help. We
Have few words of encouragement by
A non-functioning occupant who is
Confused and doesn’t know where
He is most of the time. He offers stones.
Here we are a divided country, have
Forgotten what love means and to
Show how powerful he is the occupant
Following orders has shut down pipelines,
Drilling for oil, has a crisis at our
Southern border, inflation at a 40 year
High, a catastrophic withdrawal from
Afghanistan, and politicians fighting
Each other. There is little hope for
Resolution as problems escalate and
We are forgetting about replacing
Stones with love and promising to
Solve things with more spending and taxes
Yes, we have free wills and the grain
Will someday be separated from the chaff
