Time to wake up
Where is our country going?
Our southern borders are open
Invitations to come here have been given
Two fentanyl-related deaths per day
Soldier’s suicide rate is high
Gasoline and energy costs double
Pipelines shut down
Exploration and drilling stopped
Schools in chaos
We are doing this to ourselves
Politicians doing nothing, but looking for support
Billionaires funding riots
Funding impossible dreams or nightmares
We cannot cause climate change
We could clean the forest floors
We could quit competing for evil
So many possibilities are being ignored
Books being written
Everyone has the answers, but
Very little is being done
Our money laundered to fund
Those who wish to destroy us
Truth is hidden by the media who
Didn’t think that truth matters
The occupier is a puppet whose
Strings are being pulled by tricky fingers
Isolated until called on to make a speech
He gets confused and when over
Loses his way from the podium
Friends argue with each other
Sometimes become enemies
It would be so easy to follow
The path of the man from Galilee
The river Jordan connects two seas
The Sea of Galilee is beautiful and full of life
For each drop of water, it receives it
Gives a drop back, but the Black Sea has
No life and gives nothing back
Those who give are happy and we
Could make everyone in the world happy
We choose to find fault and fortune and
Then engage in wars of some kind
Let us elect candidates who will follow
