FINISH WITH THE COLD SLAW

With the yard work finished

I went in to write.  I had an

Assignment from the New Yorker

They wanted a ten-page story

On the amazing rise of a

Food business and the increased

On a weekly basis to everyone

Who prescribed the service

The dynamics of that were worked

Out until we found FedEx was

Requiring a picture identification

Before they could drop off a package

This was their solution to some sort

Of problem they were having

We filled our room with equipment

To roll out, conveyer style, the weekly

Allotment of dinners.  Because of our

With diligent planning we were successful

We needed to expand because of our

Growth.  Eventually, we bought the

Building and used it all for production

And administration.  I continued on

The article for the New Yorker

At the beginning amidst the carefully

Written words I had a blank

Reticular space set aside for a

A special introduction to the article

I had the words which would give

Great insight and curiosity to

What I had written.  It was nowhere

To be found.  I was frustrated because

I could not figure out how I did it to begin

With and then the fellow who did

The cabbage felt diminished and

Walked away.  My article was postponed

One thing after another led to the

Breakdown of the company

The way of life
