The king of the white sky could not have been prouder
Two pieces of furniture had been put together to
Make one long coffee table. There were hopes that
Our efforts would hold together and no accidents
might occur due to our inadequate efforts. It held
Together and was functional and practical. Now the
Decision was made to return the table to its
Original size. This took an extreme effort as it was
Connected significantly, but continuous efforts
Prevailed and the table was separated and the
Larger piece proved sufficient. There was now
Room to display all the furniture without feeling
Hemmed in and crowded. The floor was cleaned
And the rug was positioned and the room felt balanced.
Looking out the sky was still white over the calm lake.
It feels so good to accomplish things. The toughest
Part is to get up off the floor. Looking it over was
Rewarding; it looked coordinated and comfortable.
The next project was to take on Mother Nature
She hesitates, hesitates, and suddenly is all over us
With unwanted growth and various challenges
It takes determination to dual with her but with
A bit of perseverance you find you have cut back
Shrubs, trees, and bushes. After raking the lawn
And cleaning the gardens you feel pretty proud.
Now we look forward to four months of summer
Like weather. We can plan a few short trips
Knowing that we have taken care of projects
That were meaningful. Naps can be taken
Now without the feeling of guilt. Life is good.
