A flash of lightning and
Then a crash of thunder
That shakes the house
Waves a little violent
Pound the shore
How much energy
Was involved?
Energy exists and we
Never lose it as it
Changes form, much
As water changes from
Mist, to liquid, to ice,
With other states between
At the moment it would
Be wise to stay protected
If that is possible
A man’s life ended as
He was struck following
Through on the best
Two-iron shot of his life
He never knew it hit the
Green and rolled in for an
Eagle, the first and last of
His life, but what a way to go
The hummingbirds are still
Stopping at the feeder
The rain does not bother them
The driveway is full of red
Tree buds giving us a
Poke-a-dot look
It will be a job to remove
Them after they dry
The brain is full of electricity
Different parts have control
On our various activities
It is hard to understand
A question asked, heard, and
Answered and so on
It is a wonderful world
