A MEDITATION

SORTING OUT WONDER

It is not a wonder, but something

Seen from time to time

Ravens and blackbirds feeding off

A dead animal on the side of the road

God supplies, along with nature,

Which is an arm of God.  It reminds

Us that God watches over us and

Takes care of us in the way He

Sees fit and often invites us into

The equation.  Whether we respond

Is up to us, but when we see need

We should be eager to follow

His direction.  He offers us this gift

And we abide by offering Him our

Feeble help, making His cross a

Little lighter.

HERE WE GO AGAIN

We are well into the third

Week of spring but your

Senses say that it is still

Winter and a winter that

Has not been overly accommodating

We take what we get and

Look for beauty that is

Out there but just has to be found

I look out my window and then

Look back in.  It is bright

The white snow mountains

Meld into the gray clouds

And it is impossible to

Detect a horizon

It is gray or white in every

Direction except where

The forest comes into play

That is where we will look

For the beauty that each day gives

Today a pileated woodpecker is

Flying from tree to tree looking

For a source of food.  They are

A nervous, flighty bird, never

Staying in one place for long

Their red against all the white

And gray and blending with the

Woods is a beautiful sight

Gratefulness is a mild word

To express how I feel

To spot such a bird on any day

Is a gift, but seeing one on

A day like this is a bonus and

A thrill.  All good things come

To he who is willing to wait

Here we go again, thanking

Spring for this gift while

Lamenting the miserable weather

A DIFFICULT LESSON

We are covering up
There is no cause to be
Extricated from our sins
We were not encouraged
But no one brought their foot down
And now we play victims
Even though we know we
Were violating the precepts
We will pau an outrageous price
Unless there is intercession
Did the creator select us as
The chosen people or did
We assume too much. It is
Now for we, the sinners, to
Seek some kind of reconciliation
It is easy to ride the glory train
But when we get off we see
Only dark clouds and begin
To tremble until we are fortunate
Enough to realize that the creator
Sent His only son to spill His blood
For our salvation; otherwise we
Will just be one of the buried dead
The Son died for our sins
And asked us to drink His blood
In rembrance of Him. If we
Can do this we will have a
Place in His Father’s house
We are lucky souls to
Understand this and then
Devote ourselves to Him

WHEN WILL WE EVER LEARN

Windmill Facts

By: Dan Nebert

March 28, 2022

That little yellow thing at the top of the picture is a CAT-9 bulldozer. It is burying acres and acres of windmill blades used for “Green Energy.” Why?

Because these blades need to be disposed of, and there is presently no way to recycle them. That’s how green energy works! Who knew? Maybe the people that make them knew. Why would they let that cat out of the bag? After all, they are government-subsidized with tax-payer money (just like every electric car). Also, politicians do not want those huge eyesores in their backyard.

Right now, the average wind farm contains about 150 turbines. Each wind turbine needs 80 gallons of oil as a lubricant, and we’re not talking about vegetable oil, this is a PAO synthetic oil based on crude. 12,000 gallons of it for 150 turbines, and that oil needs to be replaced once a year. It is estimated that a little over 3,800 turbines would be needed to power a city the size of New York… That’s 304,000 gallons of refined oil per year for just one city. That’s 25+ wind farms.

Now, you have to calculate every city across the nation, large and small, to find the grand total of yearly oil consumption from “clean” energy. Where do you think all that oil is going to come from? Well, since January 2021, it comes from our enemies in the Mideast. Not to mention the fact that the large equipment needed to build these wind farms runs on petroleum. As well as the equipment required for installation, service, maintenance, and eventual removal. And just exactly how eco-friendly is wind energy anyway?

Each turbine requires a footprint of 1.5 acres, so a wind farm of 150 turbines needs 225 acres. To power a city the size of NYC, you’d need 57,000 acres; and who knows the astronomical amount of land you would need to power the entire US. All of which would have to be clear-cut land because trees create a barrier and turbulence that interferes with the 20mph sustained wind velocity necessary for the turbine to work properly. Also, keep in mind that not all states are suitable for such sustained winds. Boy, cutting down all those trees is gonna upset a lot of green-loving tree-huggers.

Let’s now talk about disposal.

The lifespan of a modern, top-quality, highly efficient wind turbine is 20 years. After that, what happens to those gigantic fiber composite blades? They cannot be economically reused, refurbished, reduced, repurposed, or recycled. So, it’s off to special landfills they go. And, they’re already running out of these special landfill spaces for the used blades that have already exceeded their usefulness. Those blades are anywhere from 120 ft. to over 200 ft. long, and there are 3 per turbine. And that’s with only 3% to 7% of the nation currently being supplied with (intermittent, i.e., unreliable) wind energy. Just imagine if we had the other 93% of the nation on the wind grid… 20 years from now you’d have all those unusable blades with no place to put them… Then 20 years after that, and 20 years after that, and so on. “Green energy?”

Also, about 500,000 birds are killed each year from wind turbine blade collisions, many of which are endangered hawks, falcons, owls, geese, ducks, and eagles. Apparently, smaller birds are more agile and able to dart and dodge out of the way of the spinning blades, whereas the larger soaring birds aren’t so lucky.

Here’s another problem with windmills. The generator and switching equipment operate at high power and voltage. Everything in the windmill nacelle (look it up) is compact due to limited space, so there’s a danger of arcs and electrical fires. This is prevented by putting all the electrical equipment in a pressure vessel filled with sulfur hexafluoride (SF6), a synthetic gas that has dielectric properties which suppress arcs and fires. However, windmills leak this gas, something around a pound each per year. SF6 has an atmospheric lifetime of 3,200 years and is 22,800 times more effective as a greenhouse gas than carbon.

THIS IS ANOTHER ITEM THAT FALLS UNDER THE CATEGORY OF, “GEE WHIZ, I GUESS WE DIDN’T THINK THIS THROUGH”(!!!)

OKAY YOU WIN

Mother is getting on my nerves

Yes, she is the mother but no need

To keep o disappointing us

She promised us warmth and sun

We received cold and gray

Her waters are battering the

Shore mountains and soon

They will be no more

In the meantime we get

Rain that looks like spindrift

And we are supposed to be happy

I do not like the color or stale

Avocado so it looks like I will

Just have to wait it out.

Summer is just weeks away and

June will be busting out and

This will just be a memory

I do not like remembering

Nightmares and I have a lot of

Work to do outside.  I will

Have help with the rubble if

I can learn to put in in nice piles

My helpers are good but fussy

I hope we are about through

But in another week or so

Down will come the other shoe

DRINKING THE CUP

I do not want to be in a group where

The hearts of man are full of evil;

Where wickedness is common.

The Supreme One will look down from heaven

upon the children of man; looking to see if any are wise

But He already knows; they do not seek after God

They do evil like the depraved; look away from

His precepts.  There are none that are good

None try to fool God; they are all failures

Not one good one can be found, but, I

Want to say however He knows our souls

We try to defend our weaknesses

But there is no central truth that will allow

Our corruption to sneak by; our wonderful gift of

Existence wasted; we have been cowards, liars, rapists,

Violent murderers and worshipers of false idols

Only His blood can keep us from going to the dead

We must abandon deceitfulness and corruption;

Almost impossible things to do until we accept

Forgiveness and drink the cup of His blood in

Remembrance of Him; another gift difficult to understand

We should be happy to bear part of the cross upon which

He died in order for us to form a new covenant

This would be a gift too great to comprehend

His love superseded our corruption.  Grace and mercy

Have been given and now it is up to us to go about

And do His work, prescribed by Him.  We will not be

Alone.  The Holy Spirit will be with us as we stay on

The fringes; the right path and the transformation

Will be complete.  We must trust in the Lord, drink

His cup in remembrance of Him.  A single star; the universe

Thank God for His love for us in giving us this chance for eternity

ANOTHER LIE

Mother lied to us again

Promised us 40 degrees

And said the sun would

Shine.  It is 26 degrees

And gray.  The wind did

Blow but it was not promised

It blew the green-blue lake

Water onto the shoreline

Snow turning it to a shade

Of dirty avocado.  Already

Feeling gloomy, this added

To our frustration.  Our

Patience was not paid off.

We have endured a higher

Degree of ice and snow

Missed the January thaw

And felt content waiting

For March to go out like a lamb

All things are not as they

Should be and the groundhog

Does not lie even though he

Is liberal in his forecasts

This will end.  It always does

Soon we will hear the song birds

And flowers will hail the

New season

IT WAS FAIR

It was said that there was no cheating
The proclamations were loud and clear
After a year of mistakes and blunders
The new occupant stumbles and smiles
Now a peer reviewed study finds there
Were 250,000 excess votes for Joe Biden
Over six battleground states. By a
Margin of 52% to 40%, voters believe
That cheating affected the outcome of
The election for President in 2020.
This stands out as start when compared
To the news stories which editorialized
About no evidence of voter fraud and
The myth of voter fraud. Now we meet
On this great battlefield with one side
Waving the flag of the constitution and
Then other pushing for a green agenda
Which will in reality use more fossil fuel
To provide green energy than would be
Used if we did nothing and continued
Using this fuel in a way that follows
Conservative principles. When will we
Learn? When will we stop the suffering?

REAFFIRMING THE COVENANT

We reach out in anguish
When we lose a loved one
For me it is a tricky situation
I am a human angel and aware of
Mankind’s covenant with God
My job is not to judge but to observe
Our loses leave holes in the heart
I give this deep reflection
The holes are letting the Light in
The Light that says we cannot
Keep our covenants because we
Do not have the moral strength to do so

Going to the dead is what we do when
Our hearts are full of evil
We are like a tree by the river
That refuses to take up water
The resistance of the human heart
Must be overcome if we are to survive
Still we exist, even in sin
Because our creator has plans
To reestablish our covenant by
The cup of blood that Jesus offered

He said the cup was the new
Covenant in his blood
Remember this as often as you drink
It in remembrance of Me
We are deceitful above all things
And corrupt in a desperate way
I as an angel search the mind
And try the heart but it is
God who searches to give to
Every person according to
The new ways

May we drink from His cup often
And rejoice for our blessings in
Accepting the new covenant
We can carry hope that those gone
Before had put aside their evil connection
With the devil and drank from the cup
Of redemption and accept His covenant
