O Lord, what are we thinking?
As we traverse this earth? How
Much war and murder must exist?
Where are our leaders? We want to know
They seem to take the wrong direction
Always seeking another level of control
The trouble is there will never be total control
Economics will fail and there will be a meltdown
There will be no food for sustenance
And evil people will ruin the water supply
Lord, you know the condition of things
Just the opposite of what you instructed
We had our duties expressed by you with
Promise that the Holy Spirit would be with us
The devil and his dark angels overcame us
Told us how great we could be if we followed them
We made our choices from the beginning of time
And now find ourselves in this terrible condition
The world upside down with threat of nuclear weapons
Secret deals going on between our leaders all over
A push to have world order under one command
The ones having the strive for complete wealth
Ones who never worked except with their brains
Knowing who controls international funds have the upper hand
But not knowing that light will overcome all darkness
Darkness led by those who broke their covenant
Jesus spoke to all His disciples; He told them the way
It was not to control but to go to the fringes
And help, not bully, those in need for assistance
O, Lord, what are we thinking as we amble along
This crooked place. A return to you would solve
All and we could finally be one.
