When it rains on Easter Sunday it is said that it will rain on
the next seven Sundays. April has given us plenty of rainy days.
Just a few that didn’t have precipitation, but today, Easter Sunday,
the sun has been shining since dawn.
The clouds in the sky are white and the lake is very calm with hardly
a ripple of waves. The ice is gone. The birds are singing and flying
from tree to tree. Most Christians are rejoicing in this,
the Resurrection of Jesus. He will be with us for a while, giving us
instruction on what we should be doing after His Ascension.
His major mission is complete. The sun is sparkling off the lake
as in applause. We await the Resurrection sunset which we hope
will be awesome and beautiful, but more importantly,
we are up to date on what is expected from us
with the help of the Holy Spirit. There is much work to do
in a world that doesn’t seem to be aware of the condition and
furthermore is persecuting and murdering Christians.
We must have faith and do those things that we can
which are in front of us and then proceed to the fringes
where our help is needed, now more than ever.
We must provide food and water and then clean up the debris
left by nature and the oppressors. This will not be an easy task,
but neither was the death on the cross. We are to move
from crisis to crisis until we have everything cleaned up
and also spread the word of Jesus. We must teach
what loving thy neighbor means. Only when we do this will
we be worthy to take a room in the Father’s House.
We ask for His blessings as we proceed.
