Some day we will realize how good we have it.
Sure, there was a little precipitation today;
it is gray, and the horizon is tough to see.
Good Friday is a fast day (if you choose) and
huge platefuls of fish dinners are shown on Facebook.
There are pictures of smiling faces ready to be
gorged with delicious food while the chatter is
about the weather and when we can expect spring.
Meanwhile millions in and from Ukraine are hungry,
thirsty, or dead. It is a sad, sad, situation and we may wonder
what we can do. Since we are not the government,
there is little we can do except hope and pray that
the leaders come to understand the true meaning of life.
To destroy is easy, but to put together a community is difficult.
History provides many answers, but no one is looking for answers
especially when power and control are at stake. So we choose genocide.
Those looking at the fish dinners with beer and wine are still happy;
they may deserve a respite from the ugliness of war and murder.
They are sick of the ways of Antifa and Black Lives Matter and
the 65 million dollar mansion. They are sick of defunding the police
and blaming law enforcement for every evil that exists on the streets.
I look out at the lake. It is calm. Small waves lap the shore in a peaceful way.
Peace is good. Enjoy the fish everyone.
