Mother is getting on my nerves
Yes, she is the mother but no need
To keep o disappointing us
She promised us warmth and sun
We received cold and gray
Her waters are battering the
Shore mountains and soon
They will be no more
In the meantime we get
Rain that looks like spindrift
And we are supposed to be happy
I do not like the color or stale
Avocado so it looks like I will
Just have to wait it out.
Summer is just weeks away and
June will be busting out and
This will just be a memory
I do not like remembering
Nightmares and I have a lot of
Work to do outside. I will
Have help with the rubble if
I can learn to put in in nice piles
My helpers are good but fussy
I hope we are about through
But in another week or so
Down will come the other shoe
