WAVES

There are waves and

Then there are waves

Good ones and bad ones

The waves of crime are alarming

Then our choices for prosecutors

Letting criminals off the hook

Crime surges with no consequences

We wonder, those of us who are sane,

How and why is this happening?

Resources are promised to fight this,

But where is the back up

Where is the media reporting on this?

Murders are up double digit

Fentanyl deaths are over 100,000

Where are the wave of recruits?

There are no recruits at least not enough

We need to protect our American streets

We want no more waves of peaceful protests

We have done enough destruction and rioting

All in the name of some false god or cause

What about the costs of putting a cruiser on the road

Gasoline alone is almost double

Electric vehicles cost in the hundreds of thousands

When you consider and count government subsidies

Waves of water pound the shore and

In a way sing a song with soothing rhythms

They are the real thing unlike so many officials

Who are not qualified for the non-job they do

The wave of the afore mentioned prosecutors

Who are also not qualified and do not intend to do their job

White policemen and women are not by nature racist and

Do not go about murdering black people as the media

Would have you believe with the lies they print or

Even worse do not write about real crimes, such as Hunter’s

It is said that tyranny exists when good men do nothing

It appears that we have elected the wrong people to represent us

What is going on and we should be concerned before

These waves become a tsunami

MY MEDITATION FOR DECEMBER 10

There is much to do this day.

While thinking of the evil and

Cruelty in this world, which exists

In quantity and portions unbelievable.

I will take time to thank God for

The goodness that also exists.

I ask you Father, to lead me through

All the things I must do.  Keep people

Positive in the knowing that what

They do for others they also do for you.

May this day be good and the goodness

Offered to you.  Amen

INDIAN SUMMER

I have always loved Indian summer

Just as I think the month of June is precious

Everyone, at least a lot of people, have

Certain parts of the year that they like

We are near the end of fall season, but

I am not one to give up hope

I had to pretend today that we were

Receiving a taste of Indian summer

The morning sun was bright, almost blinding

One would have to look away almost at once

The day, although cold, was pretty with sunlight

The clouds came in many colors especially in

The late afternoon as the sun was beginning to set

I was inside and warm, although I had been out

Picking up limbs and moving them to my burning pit

I knew it was cold, but I disregarded that fact

In order to give some substance to my late summer stance

I looked into the woods for teepees and saw none

I could imagine them and that had to do

I remember in the Chicago Tribune the drawings of

Corn stalks shaped in the form of tents and then burned

Next drawing was of imaginary Indians dancing around

Small fires and the grandpa in charge would talk about

The days of old when this was all real including the Indians

This article was published every year for quite a few years

It was quite nostalgic and even now sadness occurs

When you think back and remember seeing it each year

Our day went on and did not warm up too much, but

That feeling of Indian summer certainly existed

I am a never give up sort of person, but also realistic

We have two more weeks until winter and you never know

Could we possibly be surprised we wonder

We never know for sure and can only wait and see

I think it would be a wonder

MY MEDITATION FOR DECEMBER 9

Your light coming through the stained glass

Windows forms a beautiful mosaic on the

West walls of the Church.  Beauty and truth

More precious than gold.  Our actions done

In Your Name also are priceless in your eyes.

I ask you to be with me when I seek gold

For our cause and in return offer a gift

That represents gold in Your eyes.

May truth be dominating and the response

To truth be overwhelming to the point that

My faith in you becomes my life.  Fill me with

Hope, kindness, and truth.  Let the seeds

Planted today flourish and the harvest be

Enough to feed those who are hungry and

Clothe those in need.  Amen

MY MEDITATION FOR DECEMBER 8

We should give up all things

of inconsequence in exchange

for eternal joy.  At first it seems

like so much, but eternity is forever.

Our sacrifice does not compare to

that of Christ on the cross.

We are all to return to dust and

it is good to remember, especially

when we seem shortchanged.

Being given the gift of life supersedes

any hardships we may endure.

Being born in this country is like

winning the lotto.  The least of us

have more than most of the world.

We have cravings and must keep

things in perspective.  Naysayers

are quick to condemn those

proposing solutions which will

improve condition in the whole world.

We are shortsighted and use arguments

to defeat or advance based on our own views.

We must pray if we desire joy.  Amen

CURIOUS

Why are things going the way they are?

How many can say they are happy.

The Chinese Virus caused bedlam.

Hundreds of thousands died in many countries.

Many made claims which had no merit.

Denial on the origin of the virus prevailed.

Many variants formed or were released.

The Chinese Communist Party have

made the life of their people horrendous.

Their citizens are persecuted for religious reasons.

Their bodies are used to harvest organs.

They have sent contaminated drugs to Mexico.

Mexico has sent dangerous fentanyl to the U.S.

One hundred thousand have died this year alone

due to contaminated fentanyl.

The media has not made much noise about this or

the sex slave trafficking that goes on.

The once almost secure southern border is open and

an invitation to come has been extended.

Open threats from China, Russia, and Iran are ignored.

Our athletes will attend the Winter Olympics

but our officials will not attend.

The Chinese are happy as they say less disease

will be brought into their country.

Here we have peaceful protests where downtowns

are burned down or merchandise is stolen with no consequence.

We have canceled culture and indoctrinated students.

There are more shootings and murders in the large blue cities.

There are calls and we defund the police.

Life goes on as if nothing is happening.

Does anyone see the failures?

The cost of food and fuel?

The supply chain fiasco?

Is anyone curious?

UNEASINESS

This is the time

Uncertainty

People we love

Offended us

We search for reasons

Nothing seems legitimate

We move on

Forgive

Look for answers

What to do

Follow what we know

Keep taking the steps

We know life

It changes rapidly

From happiness to sorrow

We look for joy

Happy joy or quiet joy

We study ourselves

Depression is evident

We concede this

The time of year

The weather

The state of affairs

Let down by leaders

Leaders drifting

In the wrong direction

We were moving back

To the meaning of the cross

Now we are banning

That very cross

To satisfy the outspoken

We must stand up

Reclaim our territory

Know Whom to serve

A daunting task

Not impossible

Courage required

Faith in spoken words

By the One we follow

The cross is heavy

We bear it willingly

Uneasiness drifts away

EARLY KNOCKING

I had a feeling

A long, beautiful fall

With an Indian summer

But that was blown away

By an early winter blizzard

Causing schools to be closed

And even more havoc for drivers

You cannot fool Mother Nature

But she will never stop with us

We are to be kept in place

Regardless of the price

We have to pay which is

Sometimes greater than

What we planned

We accept our fate

Sometimes on a high and

Often on a low

Monday’s light will show us

What we are up against

There will be sore muscles

Possible frostbite

Cold fingers and toes

It is never easy

These firsts of every season

Tell us we should have prepared

Now it is night and we hear noises

Pine cones hitting the house

The wind ferociously blowing

Unseen damage and a hollow feeling

Six to eight trips up and down the driveway

With the snow-blower clearing the way

A break for hot coffee, then

A trip to the bedroom for

A long winter’s nap, even though

It is over two weeks until winter

Could Indian summer have a chance?

We will wait and see

All things are possible however unlikely

Stay strong my friends

This is just the beginning
