So difficult at times To mention the obvious Without causing hurt Here is the question How many people Park in their drives Then when exiting Drive over the lawn To turn around The answer I found By observation is Very few do this Why ruin good grass They just carefully Back out of the drive Onto the road Then proceed to Where they are going Even on country grass You will leave your mark As summer progresses Yellow trails will replace What was once green How to make the request Without injuring feelings And then, what about My feelings. I have worked For four years improving The landscape including The lawn. Snowplow men Do enough damage to my work They drive the big truck Have all the power Consideration is not A word used frequently They have a job to do Get paid, too, regardless No one knows what I go through Many offer free advice How about a sign “Please do not drive on the grass” That is pretty obvious Let the chips fall where they will Stanislaus Kuperski aka Stanski November 26, 2021 ^

MY MEDITATION FOR NOVEMBER 26
MY MEDITATION FOR November 26, 2021 Quiet sky, cloaked in gray. We do not know what we Need or want. We rely on You. What surer method of living. Our trust in you will end up In our unusual happiness. The world is not at ease. There is tension everywhere. We wait for leaders to solve These problems to be solved. Unfortunately, they are not equipped. Some are good and some are bad. So we depend on ourselves to take Care of those things in front of us. We stay gentle as we move forward. Step by step, we eventually find Our own peace. Thanks be to you. Amen. Steve Haarman aka Stanski November 26, 2021 ^
YOU ARE MY SUN
You are my sun I am warmed by You Grow in orderly fashion Endure the occasional storm Never put off by clouds Your light is in my heart You provide hidden treasure I simply cultivate When my day is done You give me a chance to rest Beneath the moon and stars Until You come and request That I begin my day and Watch that I eat healthy You begin as a spark, but By noon You have me hot When my season is done You still have use for me My heart must be tenderized You long for my special groove You are water washing over stones Eventually they become smooth You are my sun I am a project You can’t release When my year is over Preparation will be made A new dance with the same band Fresh costume for your parade You have me depending on You In a way I like the feeling When the weather is cold and wicked You are even more appealing You are my sun How long can this go on? Is forever a real word I’m in it for the long run You, too, depend on me I must absorb your energy You keep me excited with destiny You’ve always known it was me with You Steve Haarman aka Stanski November 25, 2021 ^
SUN RISING IN THE WIND
Before eight o’clock the sun Was a beautiful crimson ball Clouds formed around it Making it spectacular The waves on the lake were Four, five, and six feet high A sight to behold if there was one In town the five flags of America Were flying at attention in formation They all faced the east An observer standing on Cedar Street Pointed this out with glee I congratulated him on being So observant, but he wasn’t there His hat flew off and he was chasing it This fall, autumn season has been A long beautiful season The time for killing deer is Coming to a close and families And friends gathering for thanksgiving There is much to be thankful for Even though many have gone through A rough period of their lives with Sickness and the loss of loved ones Somehow it is part of the Master’s plan We have free will and can be miserable With the blaming or happy with thanks Prayer and action is the answer to Many of the problems we perceive We do not have all the answers, but Can notice when those in charge are Failing for various reasons Our job is to take care of our own Responsibilities and watching out for Those in need incapable of taking care Of themselves in a dignified manner We will need help from those who Tend to have egos and prefer control We all have been charged and are accountable When I go, I hope to see the welcome sign And here angels sing, “A job well done”. The sun still rises Stanski November 24, 2021 ^

WRITING SOME WORDS
My head is never blank But it pays to be sensible Choose your words carefully There are cynics out there Waiting for you to slip Wear good boots and walk carefully No worries now Jot it down Anything Except blasphemy Feel better now? You look like you do You look at peace What did you write? Can you tell me, please? “Love your neighbor” Those are great words I think you’re on to something Keep writing This may be the start of a movement I think I hear drums beating What a beautiful rhythm Hope, hope, hope, hope, hope Steve Haarman aka Stanski November 23, 2021 ^

WHERE ARE WE HEADED
I sit in wonder Why does the left Want to destroy this country The open border is tyranny Fentanyl overdose has killed over 100,000 people this year so far No one is saying much about it Several were shot and killed in Chicago this weekend. Quiet The news finds no importance They were black on black shootings A four year old child snuffed out No more chance for him Inflation is hurting the poor Giving up energy independence Just another step to destroy us Interference in education Indoctrination instead of Stimulating and encouraging Critical thinking by the students We are close to the brink We have been warned, but Still we have silence The press is part of the left Where is the protest? Can either side of the aisle Speak out, shout out or protest? Would it do any good? Who would encourage migrants To illegally enter our country Knowing all of the ramifications? Where are all the clear thinking People of all political persuasions Who should be crying, “Stop”? Equal misery; equal misery Seems to be the unspoken words Except for those in control I hope we can collectively wake up Before we reach the edge of the cliff Stanski November 22, 2021 ^
