SUNSHINE ON A SATURDAY MORNING

The sun is shining on the inland sea
Wind is blowing calmly out of the west
Beauty is supreme especially the
Whitecaps hitting the sandbars
About two football lengths from shore
I glanced over the surface of the water
No birds were to be seen
Many have migrated, but occasionally
One may spot a Canadian goose
The seagulls are ever present and
The black birds, crows, and woodpeckers
Seem to be year around inhabitants
They of course are not water fowls
Loons, which are perceived as precious
Have not been seen these last few years
A disease called Type E Botulism, a recurring
Disease caused by the recurring food web change
So, today there are no birds on the water, but
The beauty of the morning rain, mixed
With sunshine cannot be denied
The skies are hinting at more precipitation
They are an imposing gray collection, but
Mr. Sun seems determined to shine through
We are near the middle of November
The harvest is mostly over and Thanksgiving
Is just around the corner and we try to get
Our outside chores complete before
The day of Thanks, which we must admit to
Our shame that we have neglected or purposely
Done things that are leading to the failure and
Destruction of our country as we now know it
Liberals want socialism and control and their
Sycophants go along with it, but there are
Signs that the majority of citizens are against it
We are the greatest country man has known
And we should be thankful and pray to God
To help us restore ourselves to what we were
And are capable of becoming again
This is the time of year for reflection
Let us be wise in doing so
