THIS IS WHAT IS

The thing is
A world in crisis
From Chicago to
New York City
To Afghanistan
And most are in a quandary
On how this happened
And what are we to do
In this state of uncertainty
It doesn’t matter
With no control
There is no answer
With the neglect that exists
The swamp rules
Meanwhile the world turns
Advertising exists
It goes on as if
The world is in order
And we are not being suppressed
By enemies of capitalism
Which includes the swamp
And China, Russia and Iran
Costs of everything are rising
The advertising keeps coming
Things we cannot do without
It keeps up its symphony
And we go along with it
Often not even flinching
I worry immensely
At seemingly indifference
And the lack of intention
We have survived in the past
And we continued on
And prospered because
Most believed in
The power of capitalism
But now I wonder
This indoctrination
Toward socialism
Leaves me in doubt
But I have hope
Unknown leadership
Will lead us out of this
Manifestation of defeat

THE OCCUPANT FAILS

Our occupant has failed or has he
He or whoever controls the strings
Have the same intentions as
The Obama administration
Which is to breakdown capitalism and
Make citizens depend on the government
Causing a division of the American people;
Instilling the aspect of white supremacy
Which is not true or even close to true
The Chinese virus has been an ally
People sequestered; people dying
Deep depression and suicides
Then the George Floyd episode
Which gave, supposedly, a reason for
The breakdown of discipline and the
Destruction of cities across the nation
An opportunity for Antifa and BLM
With no accountability or punishment
People brought to justice were prosecuted
Kamala Harris raised money for their release
Now with the intentional chaos at the border
And the miscalculations concerning Afghanistan
She is missing in action
We hear the run around and see the finger pointing
But the string pullers want all of the distractions
To keep the deplorable from realizing
That we are being led down the path
To Marxist Socialism and the occupant
With his edicts in his twisted unstable mind
Feels he is being successful
He is a proponent of equal misery for all
And if good men do not stand up
We will be in for a stretch of tyranny

WHAT DO WE WANT

Home Schooling is not universal
Knowledge of it is however
Home education should be universal
We begin teaching almost at birth
Behavior, danger, rules, organization,
Manners, respect, responsibility,
Accountability and so on
It is a very wise process
Results are evident as we witness
A society of very good people by enlarge
There are many exceptions as
We have witnessed the breakdown
Of the so called nuclear family
This is due to the give away thinking
Of the government and in doing so
Affirmation in a sense is given to
Single mothers who are rewarded
With provisions paid for by the taxpayers
We have children deprived of education
Because of the zip codes they live in
We have teacher unions who
Mandate indoctrination
Everyone should have school choice
Vouchers should be provided for each student
Parents who instruct at home should be compensated
Teachers who teach should be rewarded on merit
Hollywood and TV programs inspire bad behavior
All in all it is no laughing matter
It is not fun to be unqualified
We all have to be held to accountability
We must present the truth and
Encourage critical thinking
This is profound education and
Important beyond words
Unless of course we desire socialism

ABOUT OLD WESTERNS

Most love the westerns
Some of the new
Mostly the old
Everyone had a hero
Sustained by appearing
In show after show
Technology was different
Presentation one dimensional
Now cameras at all angles
Perspectives not imagined
Violence accentuated
The good guys challenged
In new ways
Not always surviving
Magnificent scenery
Ever flowing action
Intense background music
In itself emotional
Creating tension and
Then casting relief
Eventually the movie ends
Slowly reality sets in
We go outside
Look at the weather
At the scenery about us
We look at ourselves
At our situation
We may be inspiration
Or look for inspiration
To be a hero or
Look for a hero
Life goes on
Forever changing

SHEEP BEING LED

We are being stripped
Of our values
Deliberately
By the left
And we all lose
The right and the left
I cannot understand
Those on the left
Who I know as
Friends and neighbors
And who are capable
Of critical thinking
Cling to the negative ideals
Of those who lead their party
It is not their grandfather’s or
The party of JFK who
Would be a conservative today
It is easy to see
That it is difficult to
Admit to failure
Biggest example is
The opening of the Southern border
Who amongst us wants this?
Millions of illegals placed
Across the country
With or without Covid-19
I believe in differences
And also in respect
I do not respect Comrade
Anthony Napoleon Fauci
He is boldly attempting
To strip us of our rights
Flip-flopping on masks
Which cannot contain the
Minute particles of
This obscene virus
I do not respect
Those pulling the strings
Of the mental failing occupant
Having him sign decrees
Which one after the other
Are leading our country
Into a state of socialism
Which has never worked
Wherever it has been tried
The RINOS are assisting
In the passing of legislation
The cost of which will
Bankrupt this country
What can a deplorable do?
We are being led
Over the cliff like sheep
It is a big drop to the bottom
We will never survive this situation
Tyranny exists when good men
Do nothing

WHAT LOVE DOES

What does love do?
It resigns
And so it should
In the case of some
Who have made
Mistake after mistake
Over the years
Not only in life
But in politics
The claim is
They are first
In war
In peace
In the hearts
Of their country men
As well as in
The molestation
Of those subject
To the position of power
We must forgive
Willing or unwilling
We are all sinners
Have all made mistakes
Not in the public eye
How many died
From our errors
How many claim
To love the flag
Love what they do
Then resign
Because
That is what love does

WHAT ARE WE DOING

How many lies can
Comrade Napoleon Fauci tell
As he pulls for the left’s
Control over normal Americans?
A new variance; an open border
De-fund the police; what can we do?
Officers and citizens are being killed
Across the country
It makes one sick
How could they possibly
Open the border in
The middle of a pandemic
Over twenty percent of the illegals
Are Covid-19 positive and
Are being unleashed on us
In cities across the country
At the same time our children
Have to wear masks because of
Our concern for their safety
Masks in school and home as
The migrants march over the border
And congress passes trillion dollar bills
Kill jobs with their mandates and
Provide freedom from responsibility
Many other inflation causing bills
Costing almost seven trillion dollars
This new spending is enacted by
Moderates who are really Marxist Socialists
Their hot air is causing climate change
One bill is called the Infrastructure bill
But over seventy percent of it is
For the New Green Deal and not paid for
New taxes are to be needed and will
Be imposed on us along with masks
We need the Light which will
Overcome this darkness

LOVE LOST AND NOT FOUND

The girl I loved
Couldn’t wait you see
As a matter of fact
She moved away from me
Life rolls on as it does
We never know what awaits us
Trying to do good but often
Thrown under the bus
You hear about the curved ball
Many are thrown in life
Much there to complain about
But you bravely take it in stride
Making progress claw by claw
You are not fooled by it all
No one said life was easy
But you vow to obey the law
I think now and then
About that girl I loved
Wonder where she could be
And if she thinks of me
It is not as though I’m lonely
I married a lovely bride
We made a life together
Over forty years until she died
I dwell on the life we had
A remarkable mother was she
A gift to me from heaven above
Six children usually full of glee
The girl I loved
That long time ago
Is just a sentimental memory
Joy in my life still flows

A FORM OF CONSTRUCTION

Poems are not alive
Until they are written

There can be no rushing
Nothing can be forced

Sometimes they trickle
Like water over rocks

I imagine that sound
Peaceful, almost tranquil

A signature of rhythm
Captured on paper

An artist might paint it
The picture is vivid

I feel its life
And jot my words

Amazed with the process
Powers that occur

But do not question
Accept the gift

Little paper boats
That are kept adrift

Then captured down stream
Before they can move

Out to the sea and
Lost for eternity

A FROLIC ON THE BEACH

We walk along the sandy shore
And who could ask for more?
The sun’s out there, but a few clouds too
Which give reprieve from the heat for you
The little creek’s deep and you take off your shoes
Nothing’s going to bite you, so there’s nothing to lose
You see some people, they look like dots
When they get closer you see that they’re tots
Where are their mothers and how about dads?
But then we see them running up and it kind of makes us glad
They stop and wave and we wave back
Then they jabber to the parents about this and that

My friend Dave’s dog is gone for the day
But there are enough dogs with which to play
They are cute little things and they won’t bite
The grandpa man said they didn’t even fight
I believe him, I think, and said as much
Then laughed as though he was out of touch
Kept on walking; the sun was bearing down
We needed a break from it to save my burning crown

At a friend’s house we found an empty deck
Took a load off our feet and thought what the heck
Believed no one home but then it never fails
A bid to come in for a drink, I’ll move the copper rails
Found a chair and sat down it was nice
Had myself a water, no lemon and no ice
Plans made for dinner; the plans unfold
Half-hour to walk home and we walked the road

So we had wine and then dinner at seven
What can I say it was like being in heaven
Everything seemed to be going our way
It was just one more beautiful day.
