A ONE DAY EVENT

The brushwork of the artist
Bringing life to a canvas
Patiently, deliberately progressing
Stroke after stroke
Some broad, others pencil fine
Colors flow begetting new colors
One wonders about the artist
What is on the mind and
Is success going to happen?
Some hum just to make sure
That they are still alive adventuring
Taking chances as a mood changes
The light alters but the canvas stays in place
This is not a scientific event
Any light will do
The artist progresses and the
Harmony of the humming changes
Satisfaction appears on the artist’s face
As though surpassing the original
Thoughts on what would beheld
By those who will view the work
Intensity sets in as the work
Appears to be coming to a finish
But the maestro continues with
Little touches that are unique
Finally finished a satisfied
Brushes are cleaned and stored
The palette board wiped and saved
Another minor miracle
