There are many distractions
It is difficult to live in the moment
However that is just what we should do
We have one life that we know of
Living it to its fullest is what we should do
This is not always easy, especially
When our occupant makes an insane remark
Like “It is difficult to make it if you are
A two family person” and other blunders
To say nothing of his terrible policies
It is hard to stay in the moment
When you watch Hamas shooting rockets 
Into Tel Aviv and other Israel cities
Or when Russian hackers interrupt our fuel supply
But we must try because if we don’t
We will miss out on many important events
Interactions with people; observations of nature;
A body without anxiety or tension; and being at peace
The world is in chaos but we must remain calm
Know to Whom we place our faith in.  
Go out of our way to help others and 
Share our joy with them

I listen and hear the bells ring
Wonder if I am doing the right thing
How about that the bell has a crack
But then doesn’t everyone
We all need that crack
It lets the light come in
Don’t we all need light?
Especially the light that
Overcomes all darkness
We are sinners, saved
By Jesus, Who died for us and
Our sins on the cross
At Calvary and today rockets
Light up the skies because
Evil exists and God has a 
Purpose for everyone, 
Even the enemy and we
Do not understand 
A purpose for our weak leader,
Taking us to the abyss
Wake up my friends
Ring that bell with the crack
The liberty bell and 
Begin your prayer and sacrifice
Only then can we survive
And stand where others
Have fallen because 
We heard our call and 
Can remember the
Resurrection and His promise

When the game is over
No need to look around
Winners are dancing
Losers crying on the ground
Just part of the process
Could be other way around
Some trade good for evil
Doesn’t matter the call
Expediency is the issue
No thought about the fall
Claims are made with boldness
The prophet has doubts
Has been here before
Seen many bouts
Issues are misconstrued 
Partly truth, mostly fiction
Twisted by the picker
Players walk into a wall
Rearranged by the preacher
Change the rules is the call
Confusion becomes a method
Contradiction an asset
Run home 
Find rest in your bed
Then comes tomorrow
Can’t remember what was said
A story’s needed and made up
This becomes the truth, but
It keeps on changing
Maybe better, maybe worse
The outcome will happen
Time will assist fate
There will be twists and turns
You just stand in wonder
Corruption of your concerns
Now another road is taken
No twists and no bends
You already know the story
This is where it ends

The simple life
We all strive for
Cannot be called simple
If we ignore the 
Brothers and sisters
Needing our help

Go live in nature
In a 10 X 15 foot hut
And try to answer
To anyone but yourself
You make a good case
For peace with nature

But what does it mean
With a world collapsing 
About you – peaceful existence
Living off of nature
But fails in our assignment
To be of service to each other

I visualize the parade
With the band and majorettes 
Music is powerful
But what about our deeds
We must reach out 
To those in need

Serve them beyond
Their expectations
We inspire them –
Those in need and
They adjust their greed
Get involved in life
Keep it simple too

Only then will the
Simple life be true

GOD HELP US
The world is a little crazy now 
Our country is no exception
We allow “peaceful protests”
And de-fund the police
Have a media that lies
Is complicit in supporting
The occupant’s action
On the Keystone pipeline
The fracking on federal property
The tear down of our border policies
Including halting the fence construction
The cancelling of our agreement with Mexico

We are in crisis in many ways
Attacks on religion and a 
Pandemic with Covid-19
A CDC which lies to us
Led by Comrade Napoleon Fauci
Attacks led by Antifa and the BLM
Murders increasing in major cities
Homelessness all over the country
Suicides by our military personnel
Abortions in unimaginable numbers
Children not back in school universally 
Indoctrination supported by the Marxists

Politician’s spending money we don’t have
Paying people not to work
Regulations that cause businesses to fail
Skyrocketing gas and energy prices
Inflation rising rapidly
Israel being attacked by Hamas 
Money to Palestine with no strings
Which prompted their rocket attacks on Israel
John Kerry in bed with Iran
Biden and McConnell in bed with China
The cure will be more painful than the problem
We should return to good decisions and righteousness

I MISS STANLEY

Before all the crisis
There was a time
When I was enthralled by
The Poet Laureate, Stanley Kunitz 
He was a good philosopher 
Respected by the intellectuals 
And he understood nature and
Also loved his garden

He wrote for himself and his
Gardens were for his own satisfaction
Solutions to internal conflict
Came out in his musings and poems
Satisfaction with balance came
With his passion for the garden
He observed and drew conclusions
As critical thinking often does

He was sometimes frustrated by condition
But safeguarded himself by belief in solutions
Knowing that everyone would not be satisfied
Because control or power was lost
Stanley was a dreamer but had foresight
He knew potential and how to achieve it
He lived in the moment; knew when to move on
A hero, now gone, but will be remembered

Apologizing
The richest and powerful
Are suddenly against
Our culture
The previous presentations
Are being pulled apart
The people in charge
Have made fortunes
Because of Disney and
Are now proclaiming
That we are an evil country
We have done everything wrong
Celebrated individual success
Elevated new ways
Of doing things as negative

When we attempt to elevate
Every one, we are being racist
Our love for everyone
Is interpreted as racism
Our objection to Antifa
And BLM is racist
We are fed propaganda
By the mainstream media
They are no longer journalists
But the processors of indoctrination
The uninformed are the victims

They are the sheep who
Will be taken over the cliff
To their own demise 
Walt Disney didn’t want this
Do you?

   I am Your man
I am Yours forever

The beauty
Of nature
The possibilities
Of life
Please do not
Let us forget
Our responsibilities
Our need to
Stay positive
About potential
In our serving you
Who is the I Am
Serving you by
Serving others
What else is there
In our life
That is worthwhile?
I love our opportunities
I see the struggle of others
And recognize the need
Of our responding
Please keep us aware
Of emptying ourselves 
For the sake of others
Only then will we
Be filled up
Only then will we find
Happiness and peace
