PEACE

We look for peace
For our self
Our friends and family
The country
And world

Conflict exists
Gets in the way of peace
What can we do?

There are always sides
One pitted against the other
Desire for control and power
Winners and losers
Who owns the peace?

Those with respect
Who will reconcile between
Good and evil
And are willing
To endure
Until justice is served

Hunger and homelessness
Are no ingredients for peace
Time heals all wounds
Many factors involved

Peace is a dream
We arrive at it in
Various ways
It is individual
Until sometime
We can all come together
