Capitalism is the answer

The $500 million guaranteed loan
Was not enough to save the company
Where the money went is a good question
The government cannot subsidize green energy
They do and make it sound inexpensive and
Much better than oil and gas
All the jobs at Solyndra were lost
Government spending does not create jobs
Lower taxes increases revenue
Raising taxes cuts back on everything 
Except for government growth
Why is this hard to believe?
Corporate taxes should be lowered
Companies return to this country

Donald Trump gave Biden everything he needed
A secure border and an almost completed fence
Also an agreement with the Mexican Government
To keep asylum seekers in Mexico until their court date
Advances on the border declined
Trump gave Biden a growing economy although
Somewhat staggered by the Chinese coronavirus 
New companies increased available jobs
Inner-city renewals gave hope to minorities
Our country had become a beacon of hope
The seemingly forgotten in society were elevated
Joe Biden was elected president

Once inaugurated he by executive order
Put an end to the construction of the wall
Invited asylum seekers to come into the country
They were released into the country to wait for 
Their court date regardless of their backgrounds
Or if they had by chance the Covid-19 virus
We would give them healthcare, food and housing
Their children would receive in person education
Our homeless were given the sidewalk
The occupant acted happy with his accomplishments
He held an orchestrated “Press Conference” 60 days later

I sit with a wondering mind waiting for words to come 
that will bring fresh air to what I write.  We are in what 
appears to be a divided country, but it is not an equal division.  
There are many empty heads walking around oblivious to what is 
taking place in their community, local schools and government.  
They appear to have no interest or are just content to live 
their life as they have been with no apparent purpose.  
For many it is just meal to meal, watch television shows and 
go to bed.  Some are slowly indoctrinated and are only aware of 
the last thing they have read.  Many tend to be on the left because 
they were good union people and followed directions accordingly.  
Now they automatically vote for those on the left without 
giving it much thought.  Others vote for the left because 
their family has always voted for the Democrats for generations.  
The same goes for those on the right.  They do not realize that 
the two parties are not the same today as they were sixty years ago. 
A good share of the congressional people who represent us are 
members of the swamp.  They have sold their souls in the most 
discrete way for financial gain which come with an attachment---
that is they have an obligation to their benefactors.  There are 
many people who have drifted away from their party affiliations 
and are voting according to their conscience.  They are called 
Bible-thumpers, Gun-clingers and Deplorables, but they are 
the majority.  They want border security, the constitution, 
a small Federal Government, a strong Military and low taxes.  
They desire equal opportunity for all and are respectful of others rights.
My yearning is for a drained swamp, prosecution of the criminals and 
a separation into two political parties which basically have 
the same goals but differ in the way to achieve them.  
I also yearn for schools of choice which avoid indoctrination 
but teach the constitution and our history accurately.
The students are enclosed in a small space and no two are alike.
They learn in different ways and may be bored within a short time.
To teach effectively is not an easy task and to drift away and 
give up on your purpose happens as we review test results.
We have many broken systems to fix in this country and
Socialism is not a valid option.

We think of being out of pain
So we can get to our gardening and hobbies
This is without a doubt a good thing, but
At the same time we are looking for our own relief
We are aware of those suffering hunger and thirst
Around the world and then wonder how
We can celebrate when there is 
So much pain and anguish about us

We want to and should be happy, but
It is very difficult for me to be happy
While all these others are in misery
No magic wand is available; we cannot
Listen to those who say that everything
Will be alright.  We have crazies including
The occupant who believe that spending money
We do not have will accomplish our goal

Taxation, which usually reduces income, for our
Infrastructure does nothing for the
Starving millions and after we spend
This money, usually for things not intended,
The people will still be without food
And our infrastructure will remain the same

Our corporate tax hike and capital gains tax
Will help China who employs slaves and will
Do nothing to attract investment in our country
God help us that this wild bill does not pass
We conservatives bow to the Lord in thanksgiving
And in hope so we can reach out to
Those in need and we will discover happiness

A most recognized man in the world
Lines up with the World Health Organization (WHO)
And also the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)
He has made remarkable statements
Only to change his position on them
Not once but several times and is
Caught violating his own questionable recommendations
He usually comes up with a reason
His gravelly voice gives him an authoritarian image
He could give lessons to Governor Slick-back in California
He is the patron saint of Wuhan, China and
Given remarkable powers in this country, along with
Doctor “Scarf” Brix, whom he detests
Everyone has been affected negatively by their decisions 
They have brought misery to many of us are
Noted now as the most dangerous bureaucrats in history
Lock down theories caused more deaths
Than the Covid-19 corona virus
He has destroyed families and
Been the cause of businesses failing
And people becoming unemployed 
He authored the draconian school lock downs
Social unrest was the outcome of his ill-conceived policies
And exacerbated by the death of George Floyd
But one death cannot be the reason for
Billions in damage, looting, injury and death
Napoleon takes a bite of his sandwich and
The “Scarf” takes over with the lies and points 
To Donald Trump as the cause, although he had it 
Correct from the very beginning, while they had it wrong
With all the masks they couldn’t see what they were doing
Little people are like that; speaking a big game while
Shunning away from the truth which would remove their power
Many deaths, but just a side effect he feels as he cozies up to
His friends in the CCP and the WHO
Thank you comrade
History will anoint you properly

Sometimes I feel like a tourist
Interesting things around me
Along with the indifference of people
I do not think I am special
But on occasion you see someone
Who an hour before took communion
Alongside of you and now in
A store act, it seems, as if 
They never saw you before now
It just is very strange to me as
I am outgoing and gregarious, so
Somewhat disappointed by this behavior
But then again life goes on and
I am surprised by a compliment
One throws out my way.  It makes
Me feel welcome – a part of the community
It is so easy to be outgoing – at least to me
Others do not always demonstrate this
I can walk by several clerks silently
All I hear back is more silence
I go beyond, pick up what I want and return
This time I say hello to all these assistants
They look up, say hello, and go back to work
I try to understand the difference
Is it attitude, diet, pain or something else?
I know the people and they know me
Shouldn’t they be reaching out?
Maybe I, as a tourist, am way off base
