Ugly is not pretty
But no one is ugly
Condition may be ugly
Everyone is beautiful
They may not feel it
Because they have been repressed

Don’t look in the mirror
Do not overdo defiance
You have a make up
When beat down one day
You rise with integrity the next

Let no one control your emotion
Never give them the power
The race is not over
Because the starting wasn’t fair
The privileged often collapse
They do not have the ability to sustain
Did not condition properly
Did not have to because
Everything was given to them

A rough beginning is one you honor
It is like a deity you serve
Each day it makes you stronger
And find a chord for a new song
You know you will soar without drugs

You keep taking the steps
Always with your goal in mind
Do not forget the real Deity
He should play an important role
Your go to for all things
He is there for you

Ask and you shall receive
On his terms of course
What do you do about ugly?
Look in front of you and act; chink away
Little by little you become king 
You become the man
Teach others how to soar 
In a blue sky or a cloudy one

We must manifest our truth 
Never be willing to give up
Or quit before completing
You have earned your gifts 
Use them wisely, my friend
Sing the chords you know 
Others will sing with you

If it wouldn’t be happening
We could all have a laugh
Dr. Seuss is not a racist
Just the opposite, however
He is being cancelled no doubt
Because he is or was so effective
We could laugh at liberal lies
But as we are being invaded
At the borders by illegals with covid-19
Illegals who are criminals and
Willing to be a part of the occupant’s promises
It is not funny to see our country
Being turned around into a socialist haven
We will be lost as a significant people
Wouldn’t it be nice if we could laugh?
At the richest people in the world
Who are doing everything they can
To cancel American
Amazon cancels what books may be sold
Bezos owns a newspaper in Washington
It aligns itself with the liberal media
The brotherhood of man should not be canceled
We could laugh at the stopping of the Keystone pipeline
Gasoline has gone up sixty cents a gallon since then
Which means that if I pump ten gallons
I have six dollars less to spend locally
We have to live in the past as well as the present
Reality is we cannot cancel the truth of history
Just so we can be remade by present concepts
It would all be funny if it were not so true

What are they lying to you about?
Occupant struggles in regard to border
Twenty thousand beds needed
Occupant says he will handle it
At what point is this a crisis?
The lies of obscuring
The media protects; does not expose truth
Competition for jobs coming to a head
Decisions and executive orders
Exacerbates the terrible conditions
Who cares?  Not certain governors
The ones in the red states do
Texas is open one-hundred percent
Blue states are failing
But find excuses; know whom to blame
Citizens are foreigners; illegals are citizens
Doctor Scott Atlas defies leftist lies
Brings truth to lockdowns—they destroy people
Schools should be open—children are suffering
Suicides are greater than Covid-19 deaths among them
What kind of people are we?  This is not a game
Not my side versus your side
The data from all over the world
Says that children are low risk and
Do not pass the virus to teachers
Will the people wake up?
Leaders were wrong but they went all in
It is unacceptable
What are they thinking of?
Is sleepy ever going to be hit with the Light?
The light that overcomes all darkness

 I love art in general; every little work
 Is someone’s creativity; it is true art
 There is also craft; it comes from concept,
 Creativity and the ability to repeat until
 Burn out, then on to a new project
  
 I have witnessed a review of artists in struggle
  
 Who loved their few patrons because rent would be paid, 
 giving them the passion to 
 Continue in spite of impending failure
 And ultimately in the end
 Their perseverance was rewarded
 For us more than them and so it is in life
 Ideas presented which will improve community
  
 Ego gets in the way; what could have been
 Never comes to fruition
 The potential for us all is stymied by the few
 The individual creators answer to themselves
  
 Those who decline progress are in fear of losing power.  
 Andy Warhol advanced creativity
 His work was out of the box
 Many cannot understand or else feel threatened, 
 but guess what – he wins
 Lichtenstein and Warhol
 Had two pieces in auction
 That sold for over forty million dollars
  
 So what do we know?
 Those who assume authority
 Make judgements contrary
 To the good of us all
 Shouldn’t we put our energy
 Into finding solutions rather than
 Stigmatizing certain conditions?
  
  
 Shouldn’t we be putting our
 Resources into the betterment of community
 If we do – there will be no regrets

 Here we are
 Together or alone
 We are in this together
 By choice or default
 A mixed up administration
 An occupant who is in decline
 Still signing executive orders
 Handed to him by those in charge
 I pray for him
 Hope the Light will help him 
 Overcome his darkness
 He made promises
 Was elected fraudulently 
 Now breaks every promise he made
 Is putting people out of work
 Opening our borders
 We have a legal entry program
 That includes a path to citizenship
 What are these people doing?
 They must hate this country
 And have to be Marxist Socialists
 Socialism never works
 There will be legitimate anarchy
 We want our country back
 The way it was before the Wuhan Virus
 Before Comrade Napoleon Fauci
 Back when there was promise
 When order could be restored
 Before the civil unrest and 
 “Peaceful Demonstrations”
 Is that asking too much?
 Yes, because the Marxists are in the way
 Doing everything they can
 To bring down this country
 All kinds of fiats affecting
 Everyone except themselves
 Get rid of beef, but
 Fly my private jet because
 What am I supposed to do?
 Take a boat across the ocean
 To “important” climate meetings
 Which are a lot like going to church
 In a way it is a religion, an ideology
 A concept treated like a God
 By people who have sold
 Their souls to the devil
 Still worship their ideology and
 Will continue to do so because
 They can rub elbows with 
 Their Hollywood heroes who
 Although popular have no 
 Basic knowledge about the climate
 Other than it can be used to control
 The citizenry and keep them in fear
 What happened to Ted Danson after
 His prediction that Manhattan would
 Be under water by 2012?  Nothing
 The media never mentioned it again
 Now others are making bold predictions
 I will make one also
 There are special places in hell
 For people who bring misery upon others
 What can we do?
 Look at what is in front of us and take 
 Care of the little problems we see
 Make things right that we can affect
 Little things done correctly, repeatedly
 Lead to big things being done properly
 And finally everyone will wake up and
 As Leonard Cohen sings:
 “First we take Manhattan and then
 We take Berlin”
 It may be a metaphor but it rings true
 I like the sound of the music

 Life is precious
 A miracle
 Gift beyond measure
 What to do
 To add luster to
 This wonderful treasure
  
 No magic way
 Strictly day to day
 Nothing phony will prevail
 Determined to reach a goal
 Of spiritual richness
 Be ready to lift your sail
  
 No time to fret
 About the weather
 You’re out to sea in a ship
 You’re worthy of it
 Move forward with care
 So easy to slip
  
 You look everywhere
 Try looking at yourself
 Everyone has a chance
 But as in romance
 Everyone won’t win
 Be ready with an olive branch
  
 Life passes quickly:
 The wink of an eye
 No time for more tears
 Life for you will be over
 Was it a mixture of peace, love and joy?
 Or wasted:   All those years?
  
 No!  You told me what to do
 Follow You; carry my cross
 Be true to yourself
 The path will be shown
 You will not be denied

 I am observant
 Draw conclusions
 Mostly correct
 Will no harm
 Search for solutions
 Feel I’m solitary
 Even though gregarious
 Can hold my own
 Have suffered struggles
 Walked uphill both ways
  
 Can laugh at most things
 Ingenious and astounding
 Sometimes wicked, but
 None the less humor
 Original or retelling
  
 Now alone; isolated
 Except for spiritual relationship
 With the Light that overcomes darkness
 Say many prayers for many reasons
 I even pray for you, my reader
  
 Now I’m faced with reality
 A huge home in the process
 Of being sold to an authentic couple
 Loving everything about the place
 All the furnishings, collections
 Displays of novel items and
 The artwork on the walls
  
 I love these things, too
 But they are only things
 I think of Van Gogh
 A beautiful man
 Burnt some of his work
 In order to keep warm
 Gone forever as is he
 They couldn’t understand
 They never will
  
 What has meaning and why?
 A question that is very deep
 How do you search your soul?
 Are there any good answers?
 I look at the stuff and think
 Of all the connections
 Where did I obtain it?
 Who was I with?
 Why?
 But here I am with things I love
 Choosing those I am willing to let go
 And how to assign a fair value to them
  
 This is luxury
 People are starving
 Hoping for relief
 Dictators get in the way
 Give us this day our daily bread
 How crass we are in general
 Collectively we must find solutions
  
 Let’s all go down to the river
 There is a man walking on the water
 He knows what we will do
 He gave us free will
 He said to follow Him
 Nothing funny about this
 Who shall dare to walk away?
  
 I open my mind and heart to Him
 Ask Him to work through me
 He laughs because I am part angel
 You know what to do, He says
 So, no easy journey for me
 Climb the mountain He urges
 The Spirit will be with you
  
 I look at the meat grinder I must go through
 Encourage myself with peaceful words
 You can do it; just begin
 It will all fall into place
 You will succeed and be happy
