SETTLE DOWN

 
 

  
 Do not be anxious about tomorrow
 When you still have today
 Advice pretty much in black and white
 But you only like working in gray
 So you stop, worry and contemplate
 Make assumptions, then you hesitate
 For the most part wasting hours
 In an effort to be first at the gate
  
 Life is such a beautiful gift
 No one know how it will unfold
 You prepare for it in a normal way
 Nothing drastic, nothing too bold
 People upset you with all their noise
 They seldom get very much done
 But never shy to claim victory
 When it’s you who has really won
  
 You’ve taken the steps to live life well
 But you remember the other way
 Scattered, unresolved and so afraid
 Now glad that was another day
 You think of the waste and opportunities lost
 This could almost make you cry
 Now you head down a brand new path
 Happy for the chance you have to try
