 HAVE NO COMPLAINTS
 Complaints ring hollow                                                                                                                                                                        when we view possibilities                                                                                                                                                           and awake to opportunities.                                                                                                                                                         What is in our way for anything                                                                                                                                                     if we were to try?                                                                                                                                                                      Nothing has to be the reply.                                                                                                                                                         Why would you turn it down?                                                                                                                                                            There is no place, no city or town                                                                                                                                                 where you could rest without disgrace                                                                                                                                             although no one would know                                                                                                                                  unless you would tell                                                                                                                                                                           that you walked away                                                                                                                                                 when you knew you could turn around and change your life.                                                                                                                                                                         This life you have, and others don’t.                                                                                                                                                  They laid down theirs so you could pout 

about how tough it is to walk about.   

With their life gone it’s up to you.                                                                                                                                                 You owe them.                                                                                                                                                                    Now you work for two.                                                                                                                                                        Their cause will not allow your pause.                                                                                                                                                           Honor for them is doing the best you can do,          

and never forgetting what it’s about                                                                                                                                                              or why they fought.                                                                                                                                                                            And we must not forget those                                                                                                                                                              who came before us with nothing                                                                                                                                                        and who uttered no complaint          

and showed no restraint                                                                                                                                                               for that which they knew they must do.          

We are now thankful for the
 
lesson
                                                                                                                                                 There is no way to thank them for their gifts                         

except to improve the way we live.
